He had already agreed to go to the police station to meet that Bakri guy at 2.00pm today and yet he was arrested at noon ( before 2.00pm ). Today's newspapers carry the headline with Bakri warning Anwar that the police would take "appropriate" action against him if he failed to show up at 2.00pm but it looked that Bakri lied. He didn't even give Anwar a chance to show himself up at the police station. The police claimed that they wanted to get statement from Anwar, if that was the case, why Anwar has to be arrested when he had already made agreement with the police to show up this afternoon. This arrest is absolutely unreasonable and very obvious was politically motivated. Why didn't the police arrest Jarjis Jamaluddin ( intoxicated and molesting waitress in night club ) and why Najib and Rosmah were not even called to give statement regarding the murder case ? |

The government is desperately to put Anwar in jail/ ISA even if they have to conjure up old story of sodomy to get him.
The arrest was made purely for the international media to deface Anwar but foreign media knew all too well what our govt is trying to churn.
Over and over again, the government failed in realising one thing... that the more they lash Anwar, the higher the sympathy he gets from the people who knew well that even though Anwar may have his own agenda of attacking the government, he at least still managed to think about the plight of the people and bring it out in the open. This is what BN is lacking of.
The government and the police are too arrogant and believe that they are too elite to do anything to anybody even if it means killing an innocent Mongolian, and now they are plotting against Anwar. |

Anderson, I don't agree with you. Even if we are powerless against the government, if we have the same thinking and keep on voicing out, I have faith that one day, someone will stand up and resolve this. It might be one of us, or even a foreigner. The government will not be allowed to continue like this, soon, someone will be determined enough to engage in an all out war against the government and win back Malaysia for us, the rakyat. |
