Are Best Answers really The Best Answers?

Most best answers are usually voted in by the individual that answered them, or by friends that are point gaming, or by the same person with multiple accounts.

Many times I've seen much better answers given, or answers you know are being answered by the same person with another account.

Yahoo Answers is a farce at best.

Best Answers are always at the discretion of the Asker unless they go to the vote.

The best answers are selected by the asker depending on her own judgment. I only start to question this prerogative when the best answer is clearly not worth it. But if it is a degree different from what I think should be best answer, then thats okay.

No such thing as loyalty, because there should be no rewards points here. Except for some who might engage in point-gaming, answering their own questions.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and everyone else is entitled to disagree. I have two people ticked off at me tonight. One because I said if more people used birth control there would be fewer abortions and the other because I said that although I did NOT NOT NOT join Perfect Books at Yahoo they swamped me with E-Mails.

i chose best answer to my Qs based on what i think is funny, unique or helpful. my As if they go to voting i vote for me but some by others too. i don't know who coz i dont have contacts. i still dont understand fully everything in yahoo.

what is best for me may not be best for you. every person has an idea of what is best. yahoo!answers is very subjective

Gee.. Some answers I have given are really the Best Answers. Others I won because when my question went to voting, I was the only voter and I voted for my answer. A few others I won because one of my contacts chose me...

I like to believe I was probably still Best Answer ...

that yahoo answers is really a big propaganda sorta thing.
and its really a gambling team that works in the back alleys of retail stores that usually get shoplifted from.
the sorta place that when the back alleys are clear they have turtle races so they can get money to be a dollar menuaire and go get a big mac from mcdonalds cuz burger king burns their burgers. and then people pay other people to answer their questions and then they answer then using the scirpt they were given just so thye can get a few extra points once and awhile even if another person gave a KILLER good answer, because they wre paid and made sign a contract threatening their life they may not choose it because then they may be killed by an army of pray mantises with ginsu knives coming after them and cornering them in a coat closet stuffed with old memories and trophies from nthe 70's soccer championship. and they dont want that to happen so they choose a sucky unrelated answer that they were paid to do even if its stupid and doesnt deserve it. so no, they are not always the best answer.
