I guess most are realistic instead of materialistic. There's a huge difference. Perhaps the latter group can't resist the materialistic temptations in Singapore. Its everywhere. Then again, we shouldn't stereotype all Singapore girls. |

Not only Singaporean girls.
In fact , any girl in the world, who has a career and discovered the power of money, has opened their eyes to a lot of beautiful products in the market.
Theres good and bad things about being materialistic but we sure help a lot in the economy by promoting your businesses. |

How would you define materialistic? In some parts of the world, if a girl wanted to marry a man who owns a color tv, she would be materialistic. In other parts of the world, when women marry men, they would expect the man to support their entire families as well including themselves. Is that also materialistic?
Now, Singaporean women would like men to be able to support themselves and not have to depend on them. In order to measure that, we would look at the wage of a man to determine that. Is that materialistic? |

I dont say materialistic as many girls are different. But I find some very bit***.Everybody are materialistic at times.I guess maybe some girls want to be sure they will be stable in future so there wont be any setbacks.Hmm..its good that you are looking at the inner beauty and not the outer.I dislike guys who look at the outer beauty. |

of coz i cant say all the girls, but as one grow older, the mindset tends to drift towards being materialistic as one will have a higher expection on the standard of living once they go out to work. But this don't only apply only to singaporean,it applies to all girls from all over the world. |

I would say it is a 50-50 answer. There are those whom are not materialistic, however definitely the guy must have at least a career to maintain the relationship. |

Yea.... I got friendsSssSs who totally rejects a guy if he doesnt own a car.
When my group of gfs gather, they'd compare what their bf bought for them and comment on what whoever's bf bought for his gf.
I'm a foreigner studying in Singapore.
(ya... i'm still a student (Uni) and have friends of my age being this materialistic already! ) |

Err, yes....Sorry but that's what many falang and even local guys tell me. And for the sake of my singapore friends, lets say, its not being 'materialistic' but just ensuring your financial future will not involve the girl having to work and support the guy in the future, when she's already hooked.... |
