miracles are for real --if you truly believe.

in the case you've given,

i would still pray though my loved one is already dying.

whether he lives longer or dies early on,

i know that there's a reason behind it.

if he dies, then maybe because it's what's best for him,

and the people around him.

remember.

no one can foresee what the future will bring.

I believe in miracles, and not the lame "miracle of childbirth" kind of miracle or the "salmon who swim upstream" kind of miracle but the random natural things which are nearly inexplicable which occasionaly grace headlines. Miracles are a manifestion of the will of an energy outside of our understanding. Those things which happen at a level of such low odds it could hardly believed to be chance. I believe in Destiny and preordained faith far more in the idea of free-will and randomness at play. But that's your call to make that decision for yourself where you draw the line between what is random and what is methodically planned out by the Universe...

As far as praying goes.. I think there's a proverb that relates the idea even if praying doesn't help, it certainly couldn't hurt...

No they are not real. The example I usually hear is if you were to get an amputated person, lets say someone with a missing leg. Have all your relatives pray for that leg to grow back. It will never grow back no matter how hard everyone prays. Why would praying work for people with an illness and not with a missing leg. Miracles are only there to make people feel better about a situation that they can't understand.
