No, its extremely hard for one country to be powerful enough to take over the entire world. Because other countries would have alliances and fight against that specific country. And I think many americans think that we are the most powerful country in the world, but our country is starting to fall apart, we owe China a helll lot of money, but they arent asking for it yet. Their population exceeds the U.S by tons.

No. If you take a look at China's history, you will see that they tend to avoid conflict. The reason that they were so behind the rest of the world was that they didn't like to have contact with the ultra-developed European countries, and so were left out in regards to the industrialization period. They don't voluntarily participate in any wars, unlike Americans, who do. Chinese people are perfectly satisfied with eating well and being surrounded by friends and family.

somehow nobody is saying that USA are trying to take over the world sending their troops all over, but as far as it comes to China the peaceful progress is immediately viewed as "taking over"...

The Bush Administration has financed its war with Iraq by borrowing money from the Chinese and now all this money we are using to pay bailouts is borrowed from the Chinese.
If they call in the debts then we may be in trouble.
Our National Debt is over a trillion dollars and when you are in debt it has to be to someone and this time it is China.
They do not have the military might to take over the world but if they foreclose on America, who can say what could happen.
That is the nightmare.
If we figure a way to swing the balance of payments back our way we can come out of this the way we did when Clinton brought us back from the financial brink and left us with a surplus.
Obama is our hope this time; and if he can swing it then it is up to the rest of us to keep the Damn Republicans from putting us back in the hole again. I cannot survive another Republican financial attack on my economy.
