The last time I was there (2004), it looks as though the 9 million bicycles have been replaced by 9 million cars! However the population of Beijing is supposed to be 20 million, so there may still be 9 million bicycles around. |

Maybe but it is just a misconception that there are lots of bicycles in China. It was true over 10 years ago but not anymore.
