sadly, those "filipino" look you're looking for are type casted as comedians. they use their features for laughs.
GMA 7 have this new comedienne, she is called Patani, she's got the typical filipina look.

one exception though is nora aunor. she's a good actress.

I think you need to understand that it's TV and therefore ENTERTAINMENT! Like in the US, most of the people on TV are beautiful, thin, perfect skin, etc. etc. Look at Beyonce, Tyra Banks, etc. Unless you have established your career for anything other than looks, people on TV are judged usually first by looks, then by talent. It's the same everywhere you go. There's a reason why they have beautiful people on TV, everyone likes to watch them!!! Don't feel offended. It's just TV!

what do real filipinos look like? i wonder... i'm just curious because most filipinos also look like indonesians and malaysians, some even polynesians or samoans. how can you tell if they are really filipinos by their physical appearance alone?

i don't think there's still a pure blooded filipino out there with all the colonizations and inter-marriages that happened and is still happening all around the globe. why, even in the US, they estimated that by 2020, no american will be considered untainted by foreign gene because of all the migration and inter-marriages that is going on.

are you insulting me because i am filipino. well forget about that many filipinos are pure some of them are mixed like the new ones that do not even know how to act but some really experienced ones know how to act like iza calzado she has spanish blood some are just annoying like kim chiu her voice is so annoying and so plastik she is half chinese her dad is filipino but i do not know why she is using her mother's last name when she lives with her dad. pure ones are really good ones like juday i do not know if she is pure but i think so. i do not know why filipinos like those kind of people it should be judged by their talent not their beauty

Yes. There was the late Chiquito who epitomized what a true Filipino is - in looks, in style and behavior. Then, of course the late Rene Requiestas - who had traits common to ordinary Filipinos, the ones you said you see on the street/s. Names of actresses like Zoraida, Ai-ai de las Alas, Gina Alajar, Chichay (+), Dely Atay-atayan (+), Lupito (+), Pugo (+), Pugak (+), Boy Amay Bisaya and lot more others.
