Most likely to have comfort in life whether be it money or relocation. But Filipino women are hard workers just like Filipino men. One thing though is that, the way I see it, they would like to be compensated for the hard work they do. Of course, they have feelings for the men they would like to spend their life with. They're not materialistic at all. |

I married my white husband because i like him, and for your information he is not rich.
I adored him,and left my life in the Philippines, but now i regret it because he is so mean to me,he will beat me and i found out that he got me a life insurance without my knowledge,and now I'm filing for a divorce.
back in the Philippines i have a successful job,with friends & family who loves me, my own independence and my own money, once i got here i've got nothing but cold shoulder from his family and friends and treat me like a tramp.

OK, I'm going to take this question as if you're asking it with pure innocence.
yes, there are women in the Philippines who will marry American men for the opportunity to come here, i don't know about money.
But majority of them come here to America or marry American men because they actually like the person and love that person, not just because of money and just to relocate.
If you American men are willing to live and work in the Philippines of course those Filipina women/wives will rather stay in their country.
women will marry men for different reasons, & whatever those reasons are that's nobody's business. |

hmmm...no.not all filipinas would want an american guy or would want to marry someone from the US of A.
in general, the answer is no. we grew up in a country where good morals and christian values are inculcated in us from the time we we're born up to the time we're mature enough to handle our own lives. see, the point here is, we like men because we feel in our hearts and in our minds too, that we're in love. we could feel that.
though i can't blame you in stereotyping us and i can't blame my fellow filipinas as well, if they have to make such drastic moves. we're an impoverished country with a government that doesn't provide for the welfare of it's people. so people has to look for ways and means inorder to survive. but i tell, even if those are the reasons why some of my fellow filipinas like men from the US, it is not the only reason. love, though this may sound corny...would always come into existence.

Not just in the Philippines but in many other countries, women (AND MEN!) marry someone from the US hoping to be liberated from the poverty and hardship that is life in their countries.
There are a few whose intentions are not honest and there are who give up their lives to be with the ones they love. There are also those who marry for practical reasons (again with the intention if having a better life) who marry someone they are not attacted to just to come here but eventually learn to love that person and remain loyal to them.
I hope asking this question does not mean that you are validating your thoughts on Filipino women and their intentions. Please keep in mind that there are women out there with bad intentions but they dont all come from the Philippines. |

MORE LIKELY? No. There will be a few that will do that but its only a fraction and with reason. Most filipinas do it for love. If you have not experience how the Filipinas love their men, you're missing a lot. Why? Because they are the best when taking care of their loved ones. Hope you got my point.

You shud knw dat not all Filipinas r like dat and there are actually plenty of groups and Non-Government Organizations who combat this and are building a new image of the Filipina. An image that portrays them as smart, Christ-centered, honorable women who are able to live a good life without the use of not-so-good means.

All the rest marry marry guys from the USA primarily to get to the USA. If the guy is rich that is just an added bonus especially when she divorces him. He doesn't have to be rich though for her to marry him. |
