Not at all. But I refer to the Prophet's version, not Talibanized version.

Edit: Hushpuppy's story does actually happen. Ppl called it Syariah law, but nothing more than modified version based on extremists' own views based on self-proclaimed scholars who interprete Quran when they can't actually understand Arabic. That's what I called Talibanized, although it is not necessarily done by Taliban followers.

White Dove,
I saw the pics. Simple, it's not hudud law, it's even worse than Taliban's law. Yes, even under Islam, there must be court and judges before you can enforce any law. The public cannot enforce the law. By the way, hudud law is not as easy as many ppl think. As GH said, the most important thing is EVIDENCE. Lastly, pls refer the answers from Optimus and me at his q:

1. not afraid as i am outta there
2. even if i was home. well i am going to fight till my last drop not to let injustice done to me.

there.

---
i did read in the paper it happens on a daily basis as we speak. in certain countries. what law, i have no idea. few years ago there was one where not only the victim was stoned to death, but also the baby born out of the rape was stoned to death too. i agree it is barbaric

Im sure with this law maybe the criminal case will become less and can control

Yes, but only to the extend that the Malaysian Justice system is.....er not so justice...this will exrend to the Hudud system....the innocent can be jailed, the guilty set free....so the innocent can be stoned to dearth, or a hand cut off....whle the guilty ones sit there, watch and laugh ? The people should not be afraid of any properly drawn up and managed law...only the quilty ones should tremble...... Unless you have a corrupt justice system .

Cheekedee
No I’m certainly not.
Once the law implemented I will wear tudung at once and dating with non-muhrim anymore…
Sometimes we have to be forced to do something good…
And I find it as the best way for me to change to be a good muslimah…
I think it works for me and other muslim....

nothing to worry...

whats hudud law....by the replies i see, i looks like severe punishment ...
i once saw in the website they showed of this small boy i think around 10yrs old who stole bread from a store cause he was poor, and the next picture showed that people were holding his right hand and a truck (lori) was coming to smash his hand as punishment. They said that hand should be destroyed for stealing...is that wat you call hudud law? if yes, why dont they have courts in such countries that practice such laws? so that these matters could be taken to court instead of the punishments being ruled by the people...

bundy
Very enlightening this new law. Thank God it is not happening in my country.

Hush: I heard about the news you are referring to. What a sad case of so call justice man made.

Those who agree with this law will soon change their mind if anything happen to their family nember. Mark my word.
