i try to be! and really it's okay if some bad things happen to me every now and then. God throws a mean curve ball every so often but He has yet to throw one that i cannot handle. for it is in my darkest moments when He is with me the closest.

Jesus, as a man, was a good person. Yet, He was crucified.

No one must wonder why bad things still happen even to the most saintly person.

Jesus said 'Should anyone come after me let him deny himself, take up his cross and follow me.' - Matthew 16:24

If I say I love Jesus and look forward to sharing His kingdom, I must carry His cross. If I need His help in my life situations I must want to help others in the same way. If I need to share in all His goodness I must share in His suffering. If I know that He died on a cross for me, I must be willing to sacrifice myself for Him if He asks this of me.

I can't say that I'm a good person but I strive my best to be so. I live by the principle that good things happen to good people and the rule of karma- good deeds equals rewards. Of course, good people cant always expect living life smoothly because life is a like a ride, some roads are full of ditches, potholes and patches..it gets bumpy at times..if that happens, be prepared.

I am certainly not a good person and anybody else who consider themselves good is just saying so because they are comparing themselves to most people who are doing really bad things.

But the ultimate question of being good or being bad doesn't work like that as God doesn't work like that.

If you are a Christian and if you believe in the Christian God then you believe in its teaching. But then sadly most people who consider themselves Christians do not know the Christian teaching and worse they only know the Christian doctrines of rules of do's and dont's and rites and rituals. That in itself is not bad but if you will really find out what Christ has really taught his disciples then you should be able to discover the answer to this question and many other questions regarding your faith in God.

Nope. not good at all. but i'm trying to be a better one.

Bad things happen to everyone, good or bad. what matters is how you accept these things and what you learn from it. it's your own choice and will that will dictate the turnout of your actions. from every goof ups, bad things were drawn, but a lesson is learned.

I do believe and feel that I am a good person. Being good or evil does not mean that only good or bad will happen to you. Most people, be they good or bad, receive a fair share of both.

No one can claim to be a good person. It is others who must judge us. And neither can they be right as no one knows our innerman and the struggles we have coping in this world. So bad things can happen to anyone.

I cannot say that I am exactly a good person. I am just a human being, blessed and chosen by God to live the life He had given me.

Bad things do happen to me because I am human. I am prone to mistakes, I am weak.

I think the main reason why God allows us troubles is because He wants to remind us that He is forever faithful to us.

God gave us troubles to re-orient us of His holiness....

Anyway, all bad things happen for a reason. God allows our faith in Him to be tested so that we may develop endurance that will eventually lead to perfection!

Yes I am. Bad things happen to everyone because that's how God tests our Faith. (At least that's how I see it.)

Being a good person doesn't automatically entitle you to have good things happen to you.

It is a completely random world full of paradoxes.

Good things happen to bad people.
Bad things happen to good people.
Good things happen to good people.
Bad things happen to bad people.

If you're being good so only good things happen to you, its an insincere and self serving concept anyway.

I believe you should just "be", regardless of how it makes you feel and regardless of the return you get. This is more sincere.

Some may say that being good with a hope of receiving good things is actually a bad thing. So, as with my paradox theory, if you're good, in some cases you're bad.
Be bad, thats good!!

Everything have reason. sometime we know sometimes not. its really hard to be and define a Good person in this passing time. Tales from a old man: someone asked the Messenger of God,

Bad things happens to all and have the reason. the reason is us. I am not a good person. If i do anything to you, it's have bad effect. Not only you, everyone surrounding me.

"Why do Bad things Happen to Good People"
I my self cant hardly understand why.
what's the use of making good anyway?
If if we also have to pass that kind of sufferings, JUST LIKE the evil doers do.
but at the end of the readings. it soon made me realize what the Lord meant about it.

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Maybe you should go to church and see the reason you were put on Earth. Even if you're a Christian, bad things still happen to you because God has a plan for you and your future. You won't understand why bad things happen, only God does; he does things for the furtherance of his kingdom. Have a nice day.

No I do not consider myself a good person. Especially because I "offend" people, sometimes unconsciously or unknowingly.

Both good and bad things happen to me, I have just learned to know the difference between things that I can change & things that I have no control over.

Such as yesterday somebody backed up into me and hit my car's front bumper as I was just sitting in the driver seat minding my own business. The only good thing was I was there & the other driver saw me, for otherwise he could have tried to runaway from it believing nobody saw him-and that has happened to my friend while we were still both in the car after having parked less than 5 seconds earlier in a mall parking structure.

because if i were to prevent them from happening, then i would look bad.
