Do you know what you are talking about darling?
Coz your question is too vague.
Is Philippines the only country using English for you?
It's not about the language but it's all about the money.
Most common reason is they went to abroad to earn money to support their family.
Try to use your common sense please.
Which I hope that you have. |

You're getting answers ranging from the ridiculous to the very ridiculous. The point is your question doesn't make any sense at all. I'm not being rude or disrespectful but merely stating a fact.
First you asked: "Are you afraid to talk English?" Inspite of the grammar, that's pretty clear-cut.
Then your follow-up question: "That's why choose to work abroad isntead in the Philippines?" The spelling is obviously problematic, the grammar even more. And this is the part that we just couldn't understand. What exactly is the relation between Q1 and Q2?
Why in the world would we choose to work abroad if we were afraid to talk in English? Shouldn't it be the other way around - like we are not afraid to speak English that's why we chose to work abroad. Or, the corollary would be - We are afraid to speak Pilipino (as in "not proud of it") hence we chose to work abroad so we can speak English. That's the point you're trying to make, isn't it?
My answer: It has nothing to do with language. We are here abroad because of opportunities and in my personal case, the political situation then was not conducive to economic development - it was Martial Law when we left. |

I'm afraid there's something wrong with your English grammar. |

People are not 'afraid' to speak another language, just perhaps uncomfortable with their grasp of and proficiency in another language. You've made a wise choice to practice a new language in another country. But don't criticize others.... |

I'm not afraid of English (Maybe it's because among other things I'm an American).
Yes, there are people who are afraid to speak English (I've run across that mostly ion Taiwan) because they are afraid people will laugh at them if they make a mistake. I tell them not to worry, they will just get corrected, because if they don't use it, they will lose it. |

It is a stupid question, If you are a filipina then you know very well that filipino/filipina work abroad because there is not enough public jobs in the Philippines and work found abroud pays 10x what the same job in the Philippines would pay for the same job. Why would anyone want to waste a collage education to sale chicken in the market when they could make lots of money working for a company abroad |
