no not at all. firstly, it's a fact. it rightly describes the developing state of our country. every country who has that first world status have gone past the third. rome isnt built in one day. i dont see why we should be SO sensitive to care what we are labeled by.
that said, i am ashamed that despite every one of us wanting to become a first world country, we prefer to stick to the backward mentality.

What's so bad with the label at the first place? Other than unreliable public transportation, low salary and high import duty on cars, I don't have anything else to be ashamed of. |

First world facility, Third world mentality.
- not ashamed but an acknowledgment of our weakness.
It's a serious problem with our country, although we've already achieved the "developed countries level" but in mentality, majority still falls behind.
I hope our country doesn't break apart with all the political chaos & lack of proper education.

No. As long as you love your country , you should be proud of your country regardless of what others have to say about her. Who you are is what matters. You may come from a 3rd world country but you have 1st world mentality. Some may come from 1st world country and possess 3rd world mentality. These people should be ashamed of themselves not you. If you love your country, be proud and uphold of your country at all time. |

As far as I know, they don't know anything about Malaysia. You know a lot of people from the so called 1st world country really suck at geography cuz they think they're the greatest - they don't need to learn about other country. |

I am not ashamed when they call Malaysia a 3rd world country. If they do that, it just shows how ignorant and stupid they are. I just laugh at them and prove them wrong. Most stupid questions like these arise from the US. (Most of them are stupid)
Malaysia status was changed officially to 1st world in 2001 by world court. Google it. ..... unless you are an american (too stupid to use a computer) |
