Are you glad you were born and raise in the Philippines?

I moved to the U.S when I was 17, I am 35 now and although I am accustom to the American lifestyle (Americanize) I am glad that I was born and raise in the Philippines.

Oh yes, sweetie, I'm so very glad and thankful - and awfully proud - of my heritage. I was born, raised and educated in our beautiful country. Eventually, I want to retire, die and be buried in the soil of my motherland.

Meanwhile, I'm living my vagabond years here in States and who knows where else my destiny would lead me. But home is where the heart is and that will always be the Philippines.

Yes.. I am proud and very happy that I was born and raised in the Philippines. My values are a lot different than most kids here, and that is the main reason why my boyfriend told me that if we ever end up together, he would want to raise our kids in the Philippines. Love of family and respect for elders is just more valued and shown in Filipino families as well as in the society in general than here. I think some kids here grow up faster than they should and the society allows them to..

Yes, more than glad I was born and raised in the Philippines. Our culture is vastly different from the other cultures of the world, we are more "malambing" and family-oriented. We have our own Filipino values which are very important to every Filipino. At the very young age, Filipino children are taught these values and you can see the difference when you compare them to other children of the same age from other nationalities. They are more respectful and more refined.

There are lots of things to be proud of as a Filipino. By saying "po and opo" are signs of respect. "Ate and Kuya" are words that we're looking up to our elder siblings. We are born to be conservative in many ways. We are hardworking and very hospitable. Proud to be Pinoy!

East, west home is the best!..:) I definitely love to be raised in the Philippines because I love the close family ties and hospitality of the people which are two of the traits that I love about filipino culture.
