Anything for Mother Earth I will.
Reason: Since last summer I was complaining about the almost unbearable summer heat. From that day on, I became more wishful that all of us could bring back the beauty of our environment so that we will enjoy once again whatever the climate will be.
Last night, there was news all over our place that they will cut off electricity from 8-9pm but they didn't. I think there miscommunication. We're supposed to turn off our lights, etc. It's just now that I heard of Earth Hour. Thanks for this. Hope all nation will observe this. Is it possible that we do it once a month?
By the way, we turn off the lights at work during lunch time.
I'd also turn off the lights in the restrooms (only the females') whenever I see them on and no one is inside. |

Yes, in many ways. It's really good if we encourage others to participate as well. After all, this is for everyone's benefit. |

I'm already doing more than just turning off the lights for an hour. I mean, I always ride mass public transport. I use a laptop than a desktop. All the lights in my home are compact fluorescent . |

I'm at work and the company does not recognize about the Earth Hour. And I live outside the main Philippine city, Manila although I still live in the city.
I would like to take part but I think I can't. I'm just reading on the net of what's happening around the world when they participate in this event. |

I did participate, light a candle. but it seems my neighborhood did it the other way around, put on all their lights. Lack of media information seems to be the problem. Let's HOPE it is a success on other Time Zones. |

Yeah 'cause Dubai participated in it... Its CoOL and it helps lessen the electricity using, lessen global warning and like that... today, March 29, 2008 we are gonna participate and there will also happen in March 31 2008.
I also heard that Manila will participate in Earth Hour... |

I'm participating right now. It's 8:49 pm and i'm sitting in a room filled with candles. I'm using a laptop, and it's not plugged in. So this laptop isn't taking any energy except the one that's in it's battery. I would feel a lot better about this if i wasn't home alone. But i feel like i'm really helping. Especially since our energy bill, which was $500 last month! Haha. |

No way! Last week Meralco cut off out power for a whole day, and this seems to happen about once a month. Thanx to Meralco, I've already contributed a dozen times. |
