i don't like to admitt to it
but yeah i kinda am.
i could spend literally hours in the mirror!!!!!!!!!
and i diet and exercise.
even though people tell me that i don't need to.

"Obsessed" is an apt word to use.

Unfortunately, many people are. It goes back to the Stone Age when only the best physical specimens would survive so it was basically programmed into us that we should 'mate' with the best-looking partner we could find. Our children would be healthier and physically stronger than if we mated with a 'nerd'.

However, in 2008, there is no need for that criterion to be used. We should try hard to overcome that obsession because a beautiful intellect lasts years longer than a beautiful shell.

Everyone don't see beauty the same way. Some of us like red and some blue. That's what makes the world go round. One guy may like red heads and one blonds, while one likes big chested women and one small. When we look in the mirror we don't always see the same thing. I like Dodges and you may like Fords. Everyone is unique in their own way.

no not really. i only care about maintaining my healthy self. if i am gaining excess weight then i will want to lose it since it isn't healthy. that sort of maintaining. but a person should atleast care about how they look if they want to project a good image and stay clean and healthy.

Lol, I'm not obsessed with my looks nor those of others. But i do try to always look my best in most situations. My mantra is to enhance what i can, detract or reduce other's attentions to less than desirable attributes and above all, develop a confident aura.
I think it works.

Of course, I spend an equal time seeing to it that my family looks as good. :)

Nope... I've seen way too many people telling others who or what to be. Enough of it... it's OK to want to look good but it's not right to ask others to conform to what you are/ what you think they should be. Personality is more important. It's better to have a good personality and not so great looks rather than good looks but horrendous personality

I am obsessed. Like you, I understand there is so much more to any person than looks but its hard tonot be in this time where EVERYTHING is marketed toward pretty people or making yourself look prettier. Its sad that thats how it is but its very true.
