Loving someone, in itself, is already a sacrifice. A sacrifice in the sense that you have given your heart and trust to someone who might not value your love or might deceive you in the end. It is a sacrifice because you will be giving up a part of yourself for someone and expecting nothing in return except perhaps to be loved back. It is a sacrifice because you will be giving up some of your time to someone and perhaps the joy you feel at having someone to love might not be reciprocated in the true sense of the word "love" as you mean it or want to mean it.

I have always sacrificed for love. Some are reciprocated...some arent. Some I did regret...some I didnt.

What's important for me is that I was able to give it out to those that are dear to me. Whether I get something in return or not...better lesson is that you can give your personal wants up and choose to share your life with those that needs your heart.

Truthfully, I just love Tina's answer. And I really hope that someday, when I'm all grown up (since I am only four years of age), that I would be able to experience what she says she has, to love and not care whether to be loved in return, for I fear I am mortally selfish.

I already have.
A truly worthwhile life is about giving, instead of receiving anyway. If I were to not sacrifice anything and horde everything to myself, what kind of life would I have lead? A good relationship is about compromise.
