Arroyo has cut the jail term of Jalosjos of raping an 11-year-old girl. Injustice or humanitarian action?

Additional Details
Yeah, for me, its injustice. This only shows that those who are very influential and powerful people can avail special privileges and does have Malacañang’s side. He does not even admit that he raped the girl and accusing her of being a prostitute.

i have to cry INJUSTICE!!!

As a woman, my greatest fear will always be the possibility of being grabbed in the street and raped. I cringe everytime I see rape scenes in movies, specially kids. Slacking down on his punishment would only encourage those maniacs knowing that they can possibly get away with it even if convicted.

Rape is bad enough when an adult is concerned but to rape an 11 year old! I can't call him an animal as that would be an insult to the animal kingdom.
Where was his humanitarian inklings at the time?
The message I get is if have wealth and spread it in certain areas I can get away with anything.
The keys should have been broken once he was in his cell.
Methinks shame, shame, shame on you Arroyo.

INJUSTICE! What is humanitarian about a rapist? He's supposed to rot in jail (200yr sentence), just like poor people who serve their sentences, it just so happens that he has money. Now this is really unfair.

vibal
They should have waited until Jaloslos reaches the age of 80. That time, maybe I could say ok, it's alright.

pau
injustice. it is an emotional scar that will be permanent for the rest of her life.

pingnavarro
Payback time..Jalosjos donated millions during her campaign..

INJUSTICE! ! !

Lets cry on-line for that poor girl! For us to be hear by Malacanang....

Thats the definition of our JUSTICE SYSTEM in the Philippines. You got money, you're save.... You've got nothing, sorry for it! ! ! !

I felt sorry for my country.

janinmelwin
injustice

because, she decides to lessen the sentence... then so should several other prisoners in the same sentence must recieve their own sentence reduction.... that's humanitarian and injustice at the same time!

I visited Muntinlupa city jail some years back. I saw Romeo Jalosjos, and asked around on what he is like in prison. The inmates said that in prison he converted to Christianity, and he became a benevolent, charitable, and prayerful man. He would share his priviledges with others, and would take part in prison church ministry.

Don't be too quick to judge people. Maybe GMA's lowering his sentence is providential by God. People change, and let's make room for redemption. Although I feel sorry for the girl, her life has been altered forever, but as a Christian I believe beauty can still rise from ashes.
