When Father would carry me on his back, while walking.
When Mother would cook her special food. |

Summer vacations in the province - climbing the kaimito, santol, mango, duhat, sinigwelas, cashew and tamarind trees; digging for peanuts and singkamas; harvesting watermelons; swimming and fishing at a dam or river or sea; riding the carabao or "pasagad" (carabao-drawn sled); attending programs/pageants of fiestas; playing "bulan-bulan" (patintero under the moonlight), hide and seek, bingo with all the cousins, uncles, aunties, lolos and lolas.
Aah, to be young and carefree again...all are but happy memories... |

Eating loads of junk food, candies, and chocolates without having to fuss over the calories; spending long hours under the sun without having to worry about getting dark or acquiring premature aging; playing around with my cousins all day not having a care in the world about what life has in store for me! |

No worries, no insecurities, no responsibilities, no hate within your heart. Everything was fine. Totally the opposite of today. |

I missed my lolo so much. He's the one who raised me in my childhood. He became my parent when mom and dad get separated. Gosh, I never had thank him for all the sacrifices he made to me. |

Girl playmates. I am an only girl in a brood of 5. My father was very strict and didn't want me to go out often and play with our neighbors' kids. I had to content with playing with my toys and with my four brothers. It was the thing I miss most in my early childhood. |

Going to different places and catching birds. I love birds so much. I used to have small business breeding birds. That's why I used to say "Do not touch my birdie". lol
Unfortunately, my youngest got asthma and I have to give up breeding birds. |
