Can I file a lawsuit against the police? |
Lately, there were cases of house and car break ins, and b4 that, my grandma's gold necklace was snatched in front of her house, but the police, they did nothing. We reported too many cases already, and none, NONE did they look into. They didnt even do any patrol around our residency when there was a house break in lately. I do admit, that before this, the place I live at is peaceful, crime was almost nonexistent, but times have changed. Additional Details I mean, for not doing their job properly, and makan gaji buta |

Yes you can, but the chances of winning are very slim, and not to think of the price.
Try and get something like this out into the media, that always works better. |

Zee..zzzz....

you better ask Garumi Phantom.
anyway..you can't expect them to do their work if you have zero connection with VVIP, VIP or superior in police force.
I had so many experience, even personally worst than you.
But I got nothing in return.
Police and politician are worthless. |

Use the media. Its the best and the most effective way of dealing with rogues like these.
An alternative would be talking straight to the Commissioner of Police. But I doubt if he has his hands clean.
But anyways, all you have to do if report your case to any of the good news channels and trust me as your older brother you will not regret following my advice.Had you given me you country details I would have got you the contact details of a good news channel. But anyways all you have to do is google out a trustworthy channel.
Good Luck and make sure you never give up on this. |

i agree with Alan S...what about a newspaper?
btw police and politician sounds almost the same....maybe thats why they're both worthless... |

agree wif Alan and ?.
You cannot go against the police (that's why they called themselves the untouchables, remember?), but you can go to the media to channel out your angst and maybe, your pledge can be heard.
Malay Mail hotline always works.
Once I lodge my complaint in the column, of course, they exaggerated the story a bit (that's the media power), but as long the message was conveyed..i can live with that. |

Try a different tactic:
Give a donation to their welfare fund, police window fund, ex-officers fund, family day fund, sport day fund....make yourself known at the local station...do not make any conditions...give freely....it works wonders. |

make polis report.. |

Yes you can, but through their disciplinary board. Another option is to go through a lawyer (which will only tell you to wait for the result of their investigations officer), who will forward your case to the AG for prosecution (this will save more time rather than 'wait and see')...
But in most cases... don't forget, this is still Malaysia... and you know, there's no such thing as 'law' here. Its all about the $$$...
I think some of you in here would have remembered the ordeal that my family had to go through with the police and constant death threats by human/drug smugglers. |

Yes u can if u have the push for it
mostly u will get to see their evidence them produce in court in their investigate report regarding to u cases
it will be great to see what they try to do to control crime
or what tales there is.........lol |

Yes you may if you are willing to spend quite a sum on the legal charges. However looking at Malaysian judiciary system which always favours the government or it's departments, your chances of winning is not that good. It would be good if you went ahead to file a lawsuit against the police as you would be setting a precedent for more lawsuits in the future. Somebody needs to teach the police a lesson |

no you cant. not at this stage
you can if the police broke into your place. you can if the police knowingly let go the bad guys. you can if the police assaulted you.
being lazy and slack and inefficient and stupid is not against the law. that my dear you have to bear in mind. it is a natural consequence when the entire system is built not to serve its purpose. plus, you dont wanna cost yourself thousands of ringgit knowing that the judges dont sit on the fence. be a little practical i would say
suppose though you can lodge a complaint. to whatever commission. or the newspaper. keep a petition rolling.
---
oh and makan gaji buta is not against the law. plus if anything it is the government who has to oversee and penalise them.
by the might of one person alone, you cant change the entire police system that is so corrupted and handicapped. |
