In my opinion, 1 week is just fine.
perhaps you may want to include some of the suggestion below.
1. Spend some time in Sentosa Island. Cheaper if you pack food there. Weekend are generally more crowded with locals and tourist. Wekkday is peaceful and serene.
2. Tiong Bahru Market. Cheap good local food. Eating paradise. Eat till you drop. Many nice food like Chwee Kwee, Beef Hor Fan, etc.
3. Orchard Road. It is a streets of shopping centre. During this Christmas seasons, the entire streets is lighted up. Good to spend some evening enjoy the magical effect of the christmas lighting.
4. Mandai Zoo. Enjoy seeing the animal roaming around freely in their nice enclosed environment. Next to the Zoo, there's a night safari. Worth a visit.
5. Bird Park. Large collection of birds. See the birds of pray show, parrot shows etc. Enjoy the walk to the largest man-made waterfall, where birds (thousand) flying freely around you. You may feed them with seeds off your hands.
6. China Town. Nice food, old shops (but clean and look new), and good atmosphere.
7. Bukit Timah. Highest point in Singapore. Some expert says it has more species of plant compared to entire north America.
8. Little India.
9. Geylang Serai (Malay Village).
10. Pulau Ubin. Little village, with wooden house. Last of it kind in Singapore. Only village in Singapore now. Good to experience how Singapore was like in the 60's. May bump into tamed wild boar.
Many more attraction. Depend on your time. Almost all can be done below S$30 per day.
Hope you have a nice time. Best come in this period, it is cooling, and have beautiful christmas lighting. |

S'pore is really a small island. I would suggest that not more than 4 days. One day at Sentosa Island and the rest shopping. Not much nature to be found here. Go to Malaysia via Johor and they have much more to offer. Cool mountain (Cameron Highland, Fraser Hill) etc. Good luck |

Hi,
Depending on where your from, but your more than likely limited to 30 day visa on arrival, if your on a budget, the "Mackenzie hostel" in Little india is a cheap place, you'd want at least a week anyway, depending on how much you can spend as it is expensive, "Lonely planet guide to singapore" costs about $25 but is worth it and will save you that in one week with its information. www.lonelyplanet.com may be some use also.
1)Raffles hotel for a singapore sling
2)Sentosa Island
3)Boat Quay
are all must sees
enjoy |

4-5 days maximum. It is nice, but one visit is enough. Very clean. |

4 days should be sufficient to skimm the surface of Singapore and visit most tourist attractions.
You can extend your stay as and when required.
Cheers... |

My wife and I stayed 3 nights and thought that was about enough. It is a nice place, Clarkes Quay the chinese outdoor food area and it's clean too. |

I'm an American in Singapore living here for the past 6 months on business and I think 3-4 days should be more than enough - it's a really tiny island - I suggest boat quay and clarke quay for dinner, Chinatown for some bar hopping. Clarke Quay's Ministry of Sound nightclub for some dancing and for a killer buffet breakfast at about S$40 a head - $25 USD - try the Fullerton Hotel. Orchard Road for some shopping. Once you're done with all that - there isnt much else to see. I see people have recommended Sentosa and while it is nice, it is a man made beach and I would rather hop on a plane to Phuket Thailand than spend a day at Sentosa. Hope you enjoy your stay. jzny@aol.com - hit me up if you're looking for an American to show you around. |

A week would be enough. But, you could do a couple days there and then fly over to an island in Malaysia and then return for a few more days in Singapore. - A fun thing to do in Singapore is the night safari. |

Depends where you are going to stay. If you plan in staying in the city, you can see everything of interest within a few days, and by that stage you may be fed up of the smog and crowds.
Singapore is great as a stopover to other places. |

About 5 days. Spend about 3 hours at every resort or places of interest, and do quick shopping. When shopping don't bargain, see the price tags and compare the prices with at from your country. |

14 days would be perfect. |
