I've been living in Manila for almost 3 years and have only had minor bad experiences, which is more than I can say about Americans (generally really arrogant and ethnocentric)and Europeans (stubborn). The most negative thing is that Filipinos (OK, more the Filipinas) LOVE to gossip and believe anything they hear, especially if it comes from another Filipino. |

I am black american, I had bad experiences with black americans,white americans,filipino's and every other different race of people. That is the way life is in this world.
I have met really good white people and some bad racist red necks.
If you travel a lot and been around a variety of individuals, you will find good and evil evenly spreaded across the globe within each race and social status. |

We were riding in a jeepney when it came round Puresa. Suddenly, somebody shouted "hold-Up!". The one beside me has a gun (but i swear its a toy gun),in front of me is guy holding a knife who wanted to slash the ladies neck coz she never give her necklace(but in the end she did). The one whos "sabit" at the rear of the jeep has a big bag for the loot. After that, somewhere near Kalentong, they alighted and escaped. All the passengers were unharmed but we suspect the driver is in cahoots with the holdupper so went to the Municipio to make a police report. |

i live in the philippines. and of course, i experience those kind of stuff with filipinos. just like if i stay in another country, definitely, ill experience something which i dont like. and havent you had an unfavorable experience from where you're from?
so, it doesnt really matter if it's filipino or a caucasian or another race. |

Generally, Filipinos treat foreigners really good. They are very hospitable and courteous as some look up to foreigners and will not treat them badly unless being disrespected. |

i had loads, especially taxi drivers,but knowing that filipinos do not have much education thats ok; just be rude with the rude ones and off you go |

Why do you ask? What is your intention for asking this question? Is it because you had a bad experience involving a Filipino? If yes, I will say that not all Filipinos are bad, therefore it will be unfair if you will generalize Filipinos as bad because of an unsavory experience...As it is, it is NEVER fair nor wise to generalize any race or nationality as bad or something... |
