Yes, here in Valencia, ****** Oriental you can still buy a small lot AND build a comfortable modest home on that amount or less. There are also some homes for sale here in that price range that are quite comfortable, and for just a little more, very nice indeed. This is a very nice area to live. Green, quiet, cheap, free electricity, only 15 minutes to beaches or shopping, and cool, no need for air conditioning. http://foo.ncc.gov.ph/ecommunity/valencia-negor/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=22&Itemid=63 |

Of course you can, how much do you think filipinos pay. The only problem, which is actually a benefit, is that you will be building in one of the provinces. Try somewhere with a small established tourism industry like Bohol, Busuanga, Marinduque, Samar, ****** and your property will increase quickly in value and you should be able to build a 2 bedroom concrete house with 1000 mtrs of land not too far from good supplies of food and fuel, and with water on your lot from a 30mtr well with pump.
Alternatively, build a native style 'bahay kubo' with a few extras like tiled bathroom, septic tank and no gaps in the floor so air-con is efficient, and you'll be able to have 3-4 bedrooms and the temperature is normally pleasant without using the air-con.
Good luck |

yes you can! in the suburbs near metro manila. |
|

i go loony

actually, that's possible but not in cities.. I know many people who have built houses with enough number of rooms in some parts of Pangasinan with an amount which is equal to or lower than the stated amount. Somewhere in my father's hometown, there are houses good enough as places to live. You can make it possible. That is, if you want to live in Sison, Pangasinan. |

YES! It also depends what part of the philipines as the prices of lots are more cheaper outside the city so you may be able to add the extra cash on the house.
Why not select a site and i'll be glad to check it out for you. |

Yes you can buy with that amount but not in Metro Manila.
There are a lot of real estate properties for sale in Cavite, Laguna and Rizal for such an amount and its just a few minutes drives from Metro Manila. |

yes you can buy a new house in phills for that. in the provinces that would be more than plenty. for manila area there are alot of new subdivions just outside manila that offer new homes ranging from 1 million to 5 million. all the malls in manila have people handing out brochures for new homes and prices and can give you a free tour of the demo homes. that would probly be the best place to start looking for a new house. if you are not in phills now have someone there go to a mall and pick up brochures for you and send them to you. buying a used house i wouldnt advise to as most are way overpriced. also remember if you are NOT a natural born philipino you can NOT own your own home, you can only rent or lease, even with a 13a visa (spose visa) you cannot fully own a house as your spose would have to have thier name on it as well and in the envent of your sposes death the house would go to thier next of kin (child, family member) not to you. |

I heard that if you are not a Philippines citizen, you cannot own land in Philippines, except condos. With money, anyone will give you a paper saying that you own it, but is it legal? Better check that out first.
At the recent exchange rate of Php50 = US$1, the amount is about US$30,000. |
