Corruption will continue in the Philippines until the people come to believe that "ALL" corruption is wrong. Ignoring the Constituiton and the laws of the land to take to the streets to overthrow the Preident is illegal. It is corruption. If you support it you are corrupt yourself.
If you want to stop corruption take to the streets to demand that the Constitution and the laws are obeyed and those that ignore them are punished in a court of law. Demand that the Senators spend their time making laws that are good for the people and do not waste time grand standing in front of the television cameras for their own political advancement. Take to the streets to demand that the government employees and elected officials are accountable to the peoples for the money that rightfully belongs to them.
If you want corruption to end the people must come to believe that regardless if corruption benifits them or not corruption is evil.
It is not the politicians nor the psuedo religious leaders that will bring about change it is the people and only the people that will bring about change. It is time that those that want to follow the Constitution and the laws of the land and allow the administration to finish out their term and then change administration need to take to the streets and not allow a few destroy the Philippines over and over. How many more People Powers will the Philippines have to have before the people realize that it is not the solution to the problems in the Philippines? |

This question is frequently asked here . Here is the answer once again . Corruption has become a way of life in a lawless society ! Corruption will gradually end only when all of society changes . Give the police authority to enforce the laws , give them some decent pay , and tools to do their job ; fire the ones who dont perform , and raises to the ones who do .
I have become tired of writing this same answer over and over because the average ( most ) Filipino's would rather live in a corrupt , lawless world where there is no good roads ; than to live in a law abiding society . The average Filipino does not possess the intestinal fortitude to have any part in a change like this . |

Yes, for the power resides in the people, the hiring and firing authority. What it gives it can take away.
Indeed there is plenty of fault to find and pass around, but let us not be too quick to blame corrupt officials: they are only as corrupt as we allow them to be. Instead of pointing fingers let us look within ourselves first.
We owe it to ourselves to be worthy first of that sacred right and obligation to choose our leaders. We must be righteous citizens of dignity, with self-esteem, who merit respect, who obey moral laws that we are not corrupt ourselves, so we can rightfully seek and demand for an opportunity for a better life. Failing that, we will only get what we deserve. |

Philippine politician is a profession of many not a public servant....To change the system, the Philippines must run by foreigners like Bill Gates. They hate Bayani Fernando coz his a bit straight compare to all of them. See my home town especially Calumpang. rs |

We have to wait 500 more years. By then there might be some changes. Hope this will answer your question. Me I cannot wait that long that is why I left the country and went to a place that won't allow corruption. |

I think the question should be: "How can public official stop corruption?"
It is not people who are committing this acts. It's the officials. The majority elected them. I hope they will not break that trust given to them.
The one thing that people can do is to "VOTE WISELY" |

I guess it can but not totaly and besides it's not only in the Philippines where there are corrupt officials.
Probably mas marami lang na official dito na makapal ang mga mukha na kayang ipakain sa family nila at sa luho nila ang mga ninakaw sa kaban yaman ng bayan. |

I have yet to know of a country that is 100% corruption free. No country can claim this. Corruption is present even in squeaky clean Singapore.
No country can stop corruption it can only curbed or discouraged. |

The DEP ED should introduce it this coming school year .
