It'd be really inconvenient, but if it's a matter of survival, then I suppose I could. There's always the fixed lines. Very few people call me anyway. But having a cellphone makes me feel more at ease especially when I'm driving alone, or in a carpark by myself.

Yesterday, I was looking for a water-proof mobile where I can still bring even in the bathroom. I can't live w/out a handphone even on my bath.

My answer to this is: as follows: Sure!?!.. I guess it might be very possible!?! But in order for that to be so`. MANY,MANY of those that I'd have contact with without access to some sort of communication system would also have to have the same or like(systematic) program or device that would allow communicating!?! Perhaps something like a small/mobile screen with a built in camera I guess !?! & microphones & or earpieces or ear phones that can be used as a mic !!?!! I think it can be done some how !! Because I for one used some old ear-phones from a portable cassete tape player that I used to have/use often!! & found a way or place on my old computer to plug them !! so I could TALK to some persons over the comp that had microphones !! ha ha I felt left out !! so that was found out out of an act of desparation !! ;-D I had tons of fun too !! this took place back in the late 1990's like `round 1995,6,7 & 8..r`'R'`r.,

i dont have a cell phone, i never have. im 16
i dont' think i really need it, though it would be comforting during emergencies but that doesn't come up much.

more and more people are getting cell phones and not home phones. cell phones have become more reliable and alot cheaper than they once were. the coverage is better than ever and if you get adequate coverage at your house why not just have a cell. save yourself the cost of two phone lines. on the other hand if you talk alot during the day from home a landline is usually cheaper for local calls. unlimited airtime minute plans can be expensive. also consider the talk time of the phone you are looking at. some have batteries that will give you 10 hours of talk time on a full charge.

I already can. In the past, no. But w/ my laptop and wireless internet connections now, i could very well let go of my mobile phone.

btw, Nokia7620 is no longer the in model in my place. Hasn't been for a long time. The 3G phones are the saleable, and the newest N series, N95, etc

yes, in fact, I hate phones so much that I have one at home but never use it, and I never give people my phone number, I even ask my parents not to call me so often. Phones are just annoying, they always ring when you don't want them to, and they disturb whatever that you are doing
