I had one made for my wife. It had graphics of some beautiful stalks of rice growing and in big letters it said, "Powered by Rice!!!" Down below in small letters it said, "90,000,000 Filipinos Can't be Wrong."

We've been married 28 years and we've got 6 kids. I swear, they're all powered by rice. We've got hot rice in the cooker 24/7.

The intention of coming up with an org shirt is great, but i also disagree with the design of the shirt so far.

how about something like:
- combination of Philippine and American flags (prettymuch like the Philippine and Greek flags tattooed on Batista shoulder)
- then put words "Pinoy Strength" or something

I just thought your org would sound less like aquatic creatures this way.

i'm a filipino...i think that you should reject it...because most people misinterpret things...and though your intentions are good...they might think of it as an insult...they might think that you are trying to connect the life of a dolphin or a some kind of fish to a filipino...or they might think that you used the word flippin' so you can tell them silently/ indirectly that their brains are flippin' (that they're becoming insane) or that they talk to much...and try to remove the word "only"...it really depends on the person who looks at it.

I get it. But it has been ages since my friends and I refer to ourselves as "Flips". Since Jr. high, and that was in the late '70's!

Anyway, when I'm imaging the shirt with that slogan, what comes to mind when I see or hear the word 'flippin' used in that content, I think you're using 'flippin', in place of the F-word, (and not the meaning: the act to flip), and I know that is not your intention.

I think only a few would get it. (Understanding the meaning of your slogan). Or I think, the wearer, might have to explain to others what the shirt means.

I'm sitting here trying to think of some other slogan for the FSO. But I'm drawing a blank. Anyway, those are my thoughts.

To be frank, I have never heard of such a word like "Flip" being referred to Filipinos. It's just from this site. I'd say that the text is cute but it's rather offensive.

Besides, I don't see the fun why Filipinos can be called Flips since the name does not suggest who we are. I don't want that "Flip" thing to be known by many either. People who love the fun of being racists would love the idea of calling us like that.

I would rather accept "Flip" being referred to foreigners pretending to be Filipinos without their hearts.

you've got a very creative mind so go on and think of a much better one that truly reflects the characters of your filipino friends. look for what's unique in them, the character that you don't see from your other friends then play with the words but not flips nor flippin..=) i feel like a dolphin. hey i'm flippin,hehehe

Well i think its very cute, but i think either way you are going to have people who like it, and people who hate it. I hate to ask but are you Filipino? I have alot of Filipino friends, and they only like using flip, if anyone else does.. well they just kindof w.e. it, but you can tell theya re a bit annoyed.

But overall I think its really a good idea!
