No, ma'am.
I was 16 and a college student (3rd yr). He was 12 years my senior and a professor at the same university. Needless to say, the relationship was all hush-hush. Two months before my graduation, napikot sya (best I can translate is - shot gun wedding for him). The next term, I came here (States) to pursue grad school and he followed me. So finally - after 2 years of it being a secret, it was out in the open (no one here to hide it from). But after a year, it was time for a clean break...he was to go home to his wife and baby...and I was to go on with my life. Then I heard he moved his family to Singapore so I braved coming home to the Philippines last December. When he found out I was there, he flew in also. I cut short my vacation and hurried back to the States just so I wouldn't see him - I cannot go through another heart-breaking goodbye! Apparently, he flew right back to Singapore and 2 days before New Year's Day, he died in a motorcycle accident. I have long stopped grieving but it would take more than a lifetime to forget. |

Yes and was I ever sorry. Too easy to get manipulated by her.... which resulted in a very poor marriage. Love is blind for reason. I married again to someone who was a true friend & who wanted to make me as happy as she was . I 'm happiest guy on earth. |

Heaven's no and thank God for that! He was a long way from my first love, but he certainly has been my BEST! I met him when I was 29 and Married him at 31. We've been married nearly 22 years and I wouldn't trade him for anyone - not even Harrison Ford! My first love I will always remember fondly, but we'd never have made it 22 years... |
