wasn't it beautiful. the two things that looked like bright stars were actually venus and jupiter! they won't be seen like that again for a long time! :)

Yes, it was, wasn't it? The crescent moon like a smiling lips and the two eyes are the planet Jupiter and Venus in conjunction. Beautiful!

yeah yeah it was just straight above my house...it were like smiling moon with two star above it ( can be said that the star looks like eyes and the moon looks like mouth)

Yeah I did too! I found it really eerie though.. I've seen that before when the moon is aged at 3.5 (like now)

yes!! I live in Brisbane, Australia. It was so beautiful! And a very rare occurrence that we won't live to see again. Apparently it's only in the Australia and nearby places that got to see the smile...the other places saw a frown.

The sky is clear and the new moon is so bright tonight. I can even see the two planets (Mars & Venus) on its both ends that are also so bright. I wonder how it looks like in your place.

Note: Stars do blink while the planets do not.
