I prefer USA now but I know when I retired, I will move back to Singapore. I do not want to drive that much when I am getting old as it is easier to take a cab in Singapore lol

I would choose Singapore.

Having stayed in both countries before I would still prefer Singapore for its cleaniness and safety. Singapore is also a great place to bring up kids if you plan to have any ... given the education system here and the asian culture of respecting elders - no offence but kids dont call parents by their first name and to me thats important.

I would still like to visit the US every now and then. It has lots of things Singpaore can never give like big open spaces, fun places like six flags, vegas or even simple things like four seasons.

I would prefer singapore. although its a small country compared to the big and exciting U.S. the ppl are safer and theres decent standard of living. however, i would like to go visit U.S. often and see all the things for mysel! =)

Definitely Singapore.

Crime rates in Singapore is one of the lowest in the world. I can leave my house at 11pm to 7-11 and not worry about anything. And the education system is also one of the best. I do admit that sometimes it would be very pressurizing for our children to study in Singapore but who doesn't want to provide the best for our children?

Apart from that, Singapore doesn't have any severe natural disasters. Think earthquake and tornadoes. We don't have to run for our lives every now and then, worrying whether an earthquake would hit us or not.

Singaporeans complain that transportation is expensive. Have they tried to catch a cab in Tokyo? Did they realized that the flag down fee in Japan is more than S$10?? Taking a bus ride costs S$3 compared to S$0.65 for a few bustops.

Living in Singapore is a bliss indeed.

Singapore, just a bus ride back as and when I missed Malaysia which could be once a month!

I grow up in Singapore and have been visiting the US. After all, I still want to be in Singapore. It is safer. It is my home. I can afford the things I need here. Tax is relatively low. Transport is convenient, I don't need a car. Medical cost is relatively cheaper and service is great.
