Last time chickens can fly but humas discovered that chicken are tasty and decided to rear them. The chickens are so used to the lazy lifestyle because human feed them and they don't need to find food themselves. Later on they evolved.

They fly a little like ostrich, not far, not high, and not long. They just flip their wings trying to 'fly' or make their landing from a higher place slower and smoother..

No, but they kind of flap their wings to break their falls when they jump from high places.
What you have to watch out for are the roosters. They are so mean!
