Yes Filipinos do like spaghetti. They like it so much that they serve it at McDonald in the Philippines. Their spaghetti sauce is sweeter than what we are used to though. I don't like it much. I prefer the Italian or American version of sauce.
Jollibees is the most popular fast food chain in the Philippines. Yes more popular than McDonalds. Mickey D's is a close second though.
On every visit that I've been there, the children especially always order spaghetti.
Pancit is NOT spaghetti. It is rice or flour noodles mixed with meat and vegetables. It's is very good though, depending on who makes it.
The version of spaghetti sauce for the Philippines in the can by Del Monte is what they must serve in Jollibees and Mickey D's, because it tastes the same. But as I said, I don't like it. Way to sweet for me. I like the garlic and herbs versions of sauce.
I'm not sure, but I think they also serve spaghetti at the KFC in the Philippines. I've only eaten there a couple of times and I don't look for spaghetti at KFC. I'll check on my next visit in April 2008. |

Yes, but it's a way differant version. Del Monte evan makes a special "philippino style" sauce. It's way sweeter and get this,
Ever in your wildest dreams though about using hot dogs ?
Well that's what they usually make here or my cousin makes a version of "tuna spaghetti".. |

Yup, but I don't always like it sweet. |

Not all Filipinos do. I have a friend who prefers pancit bihon over spaghetti. And if she happened to have a meal in Jollibee with spaghetti in it, she wrapped the untouched spaghetti for me. I love spaghetti and my son does too. |

We love spaghetti. Those who love Jollibee spaghetti comes from family who sucks in cooking spaghetti. It's too sweet.
Our neighbor's food stall on the sidewalk make the best spaghetti in the world. She makes it a little spicy by adding chili and a little sweet. Smells better than Jollibee too. |

I personally love to eat spaghetti. If you can observe during Filipino parties like birthday parties, spaghetti is always present so that alone is a proof that Filipinos really love to eat spaghetti. Apart from being delicious it's also very easy to prepare.
Jollibee, by the way is fastfood restaurant similar to mcdonalds, that offers jolly spaghetti to it's consumers. |

yup! we LOVE IT! Filipino spaghetti has a sweeter flavor than italian, though. we put hotdogs instead of sausage, some foreigners find this weird... but, heck, we luv it!
Jollibee is a very popular Filipino fastfood. A local McDo, if you will... the Philippines is one of the countries wherein McDo is not the No. 1 fastfood, because of Jollibee. Jollibee serves burgers and fries as well, but with a more Filipino flavor. Jollibee also serves good spaghetti, palabok, fried chicken, burger steak, hotdog sandwiches, etc... you should try it sometime here in the Philippines :) |

No, I don't like spaghetti. I like pancit sotanghon better. |

In my limited experience they prefer a version of spaghetti made from rice noodles called pancit. It looks like spaghetti but tastes different. Tomatoes are not as popular in the Philippines as they are in the US. So traditional spaghetti with tomato sauce is not as common as pancit with brown sauce. As for the jollibee its a mascot for a homegrown competitor if MacDonalds in the Philippines, (rumor has it there is one in LA) The burgers in Jollibee are OK but rice and spaghetti are not fast food for me. |

filipinos have a filipino-style spaghetti. sweet and tangy taste with hot dogs...yummy!
jollibee is a filipino fast food restaurant. the ones in los angeles don't make good food. chicken's too greasy, spaghetti's so-so and the rice is kinda hard. a few jollibees have already shut down here because of lack of customers and the food weren't all that great. |
