just becareful if you date someone thats uneducated, coming from a poor family (helpers etc.), unstabled(no decent job) most likely that girl will use you to get out of poverty but if you date someone thats educated, stabled, coming from a decent family most likely she will not use you for money because she got standards and she got money already but most of those girls dont date foreigners, they like educated and decent filipino guys... If you want to just date without committing any serious relationship i guess thats the best thing you can do. Just go out and date, have fun and dont trap yourself. Let the girls know you're not looking for serious relationship and always use protection (condoms) because she might trap you , you know what i mean.
If your not looking for marriage then, theres no need to worry about it. Just go out on dates (no serious ones) and have fun but always becareful and dont let those girls have their hopes up. Goodluck! |

Golddiggers can be found anywhere, even where you live. It's a little racist to think that every girl you meet there is going to fall over you to get you to bring them back to the US or where ever you live. How about if you meet someone you just don't jump in the bed with them, and give yourself time to get to know them and learn if they have motives or not. Half the relationship problems in the world wouldn't exist if people would simply wait 6 months before jumping in the sack. Im sure girls there would like any guy who is nice, just like girls from any other country, just as I'm sure there are golddiggers who would love to find a guy who could help them get a better life.......you can find that in any country, just like you can find guys who want to live off of women in every country. :) |

Most Filipino girls are very shy around guys, especially foreigners. The ones that are not shy, you have to be careful around. They will typically be the ones wanting a way to your country for a better life for their family.
To find one that is truly in love with you is very difficult. It will take a lot of effort on your part to reach out to a girl you meet and get to know her. For only working there a few months, I would say you have little chance of finding a girlfriend that sees beyond your country's wealth and opportunity for a better life. Most of the time it is the parents encouraging their girl to puruse a relationship with foreign men. |

Many Filipinas may consider you a good catch and have expectations. The right thing to do is be honest and up front.
The Philippine culture is sort of old fashioned. Traditionally they expect you to not compromise a young ladies reputation. I would recommend double dating. Some girls will not date you under any circumstances because to do so will damage their reputation. While many Filipinos love America, they are not real happy with foreigners .....particularly old foreigners ....dating their young women. They are too polite to confront the foreigner but often the young girl is verbally berated
Just be sensitive to the culture and how things look. Be a true gentleman.

I cant answer for pinays but I can tell you that you have to be careful. Just use your instinct and don't be bowled over by the amount of beautiful girls you will meet. I can only say from my experience that if you meet an honest and genuine girl you never be happier! I met my wife in Phi nearly 4 years ago and she has made me the most happy man you are likely to ever meet. I went through all the stereo typical bull that people say about pinays. Does she want a visa does she only love my money etc. I'm leaving England next year to live in Phi for a more relaxed and family orientated life. People who said she wanted a visa are gobsmacked that I'm the one to leave my country. Just avoid the girls who throw themselves at you, the shy ones are the ones to look out for. I can honestly say that a good pinay is the best women in the world and they are out there! I love my wife so dearly and I know she also loves me in return. No, not all girls marry foreigners just to get a better life. When i was younger, i used to like foreigners, and only foreigners because i was around them most of the time. in school and at church.
but all that changed when i moved back to the philippines. now i'm married to a filipino.
i guess what i'm trying to say is, not all people are about the money. there are people who, because of where and how they grew up, genuinely like foreigners more. |

not all Filipinas like foreigners,on my part, i really don't like to be involved with foreign guys. i still prefer my fellow Filipino. i have my reasons, same thing with the other girls.
as for meeting someone,same process on how you meet and fall in love with a woman in your country.you'll get to realize that as your feelings for each other go beyond friendship.
*** don't listen to some of these guys above me.some are trolls who can't do anything in life but insult and hurt people here. i've been here for more than two years and i know some of them aren't real. |

i hate to say that filipinas really like filipino males more if ever they can find decent, financially stable ones. but finding one is like finding a needle in a haystack especially when you are not that attractive. most women who post in pinay mail-order bride websites are in there to find a better life abroad (?), leave their hardships behind no matter the status of the guy abroad, ex-cons, mentally unstable, sadists, or wife-beater. if they're lucky they can find decent ones. they don't much care for the guy's looks or background as long as they can marry and settle abroad.
