When you're young all you did was play, not minding any problems - Happy
You go to primary school, and play more while learning - Happy
You go to secondary school where you met your first girlfriend and perhaps your first kiss - Happy.
You go to college where you are introduced to reality of life, few gigs here and there, girlfriends here and there - Happy.
After graduation, looked for a job, and maybe you will not find the best but still you earn for a living- Happy.
You find the right girl and decided to settle down - Happy.
Got two kids, send them to school until they finished their studies - Happy.
Two kids got married, got kids of their own, asked you to take care of their children while they worked - Huh! what is this.
You have to mow the lawn, throw the garbage while grand kids are at school - Now you begin to hate life.
Wife passed away, you are alone and your kids decided to put you in the home for the elderly - Your life is nearly over!
Now you are in your death bed alone - And was asking yourself "How the hell my life started as Once upon a time and ended with Once there was this time?" |

Fairy tales can come true,
It can happen to you,
If you're young at heart.
so the song goes. Yes, it did happen to me. I am now happily
married after 2 failed relationships. I have now that wedded bliss
that so elusive before. |

Yes, happy endings do happen in real life; not just in the movies or in the stories you read as a child. All you've got to do is dream and believe and work hard at achieving it.
It all depends on you really. As is often said, happiness or a happy ending is relative to how one perceives it not on how others view it. |

To some..probably but it's really hard to answer because there's nothing permanent in this world except changes..If it's your destiny to have one then you gonna have one..no matter how perfectly you planned your life. |

I suppose so. If you have finally come to terms with all the ups and downs you've been through in this life and die happy, as the 2nd answerer said, then you've had a happy ending. |

happy endings do happen if only we look at life like a book; page by page, chapter by chapter.
some pages have happy endings as do some chapters. we continue the story as life continues its journey.
life does not stand still and get frozen no matter the moment in time it is in. happy and sad they all get by. |

There's several kinds of endings in this world. There's happy or comedy endings, tragedy, sad endings, etc. So, it always depends on your will or decisions.
But if the ending is death (not tragically), I think it's kinda happy or sad. Hmmm. |

BellatriX

yeah it can be if it ended up in "they lived happily ever after" |
|

MusicMan
 |
Definitely. If you die happy, that is a happy ending. |

Well, movies last for 2-3 hours. In our real lives, we can live for 70, 80 or even 90+ years. What do you consider to be a happy ending? A small part of our life? A day? A lifetime?
Yes, happy endings do happen. But not in the same way as movies. |

Happy endings in movies, novels, and any literature were written as fiction, but writers get inspiration from REAL LIFE. If we go by this deduction, yes indeed Happy Endings happen in real life.
A happy ending, however, is relative. Sometimes people are so engrossed moaning about minor mishaps, not realizing the blessings that have come their way. In this sense, happiness is not absolute, not without hiccups. But we must appreciate the happy endings that have marked some of our trials. |

the term "happy" is quite subjective.
