Are kalesas still in the Philippines? Absolutely. Check out the Intramuros (old Spanish section of Manila). If you have not been to the Intramuros, hire a kalesa and guide for an hour or so. Well worth the money. You can also find many kaleasa plying the streets around Rizal/Luneta Park. Kalesa are also abundant outside of Manila in Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur provinces. |

I believe they do. In smaller towns they are more common. My family is in the north (way up north) of Luzon and they still have some there. |

In some provinces that are not highly populated with automobiles, jeep and tricycles Kalesa still exists. But I thought they still have them by Intramuros and other tourist area. |

You might have been looking at the wrong place. Kalesa still exist in the City of Manila as a mode of transportation particularly around Binondo (China Town) and in Intramuros as a tourist attraction. There may be still others in the provinces but I believe, mostly it will up north in Luzon. |

in Intramuros and some provinces... But the kalesa is kind of""extinct" na eh hehehe.. go for the kalabaw with the cart hehehehe... I'm sure you'll find plenty of those in any province you go to... But the Intramuros is your best bet where you can find a calesa... It's a very wonderful place I assure you..... |

In Binondo and Intramuros in Manila and in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. They are very much a part of the Filipino Heritage and I personally would like to see Kalesa and Dyip as authentic Filipino. |
