Wah! brother amulet now is riding the waves at Y!AM. Damn lot of answers man...

okok, back to the topic!

I believe the banana tree is haunted with spirits (penunggu), evil or no evil i'm not too sure... stories i've heard is that if you tie a red thread around the banana fruits heart and stretch it all the way to your bed in your room and make a wish. your wish would be realise within 30 days and if you don't repay back whatever that you've promised to do, then beware... somethings gonna happen (urban legend lar).

about bamboo tree, yes i've also heard stories about it...
but i can't really confirm with you about it.

Mr. Georgia
No..... why would a tree have a ghost????

well a friend of mine in the chat room told me that Filipinos believe in the myth that a woman and a man came out of the bamboo tree and they were caled "maganda" and "malakas" its a Filipino myth its like adam and eve, and with banana trees she mentioned that there was a myth again that on a night when the moon is out you have to be under the banana tree so that you can get your power it will fall from the banana tree about those creatures i havent heard about that....i have to do some research and more chatting with this Filipino girl hehe

No but my wife was told when she was young that very large, very old trees could have a spirit. But it could be good also.

Stranger On A Bus
I've never seen a ghost.
But not seeing it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
It's stated in the Quran that Jinn does exist.
Only some gifted people will be able to see it.
However very seldom people will see the original form of jinn because they usually appear as something else - ghost, animals, human etc.
I've heard a lot of stories related with ghosts and trees.
Never seen it, and hopefully I will not see it, but I do believe it.

I think so.. Elder people say don't ever wipe blood on the banana trees because the spirit will follow the people.
