I was going to answer your question--until you said that Chinese are evil people. They are no more or less evil than any other people.

Chinese people are not evil. China is not evil. There are some people, temporarily in power, who have evil plans.

You should be more fair, more kind, less biased, and less racist.

No way in hell. While China is developing very swiftly and making extreme impact in the press, they are not anywhere near ready to take on the world. That's somewhat akin to saying that because Paris Hilton is working on acting, and is always in the newspapers she's going to win Best Actor next year- there is no way.
As it stands, China's back country (everywhere NOT Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guang zhou, or Olympic centers in Beijing) is still very much a third world country. I respect the people here, and I respect the work they've done on infrastructure, but there is a long way to go. When the country is a developed, industrialized, first world nation (with at least 95% of the populace having electricity, running water, health care, and a decent wage) then they will have a shot at being the next super power.

Who will be the next super power then?
Good Question. Its easy to see that the US has only about 15 more years on top, so its also an important question. EU doesn't want it, and has lost much of its political power. Korea has the politics and economics, but is beholden to the US for a military. The UAE has the economy and military to support it, but I don't think they'd get anywhere politically. In my opinion, I don't think that there will be a superpower in 20 years. We'll be more like we were previously with the world fractionalizing into regional and cultural alliances.

Even if they are a super power, so what? US has been a superpower since the 19th century.

China's economy is booming and it will continue. Granted, it has been a terrible year for the Chinese, first the Tibet incident, then the virus outbreak, now the quake!? But like all Chinese, we don't give up and will only get stronger.

Most Chinese people like the government and support government, support Hujintao and Wenjiabao. Chinese people and government love peace and have never been aggresive to any other country.

Besides if they have become rich it's US they can thank for that, us and the corporations that exported labor to China by OUR government that allowed it. Most of the steel in the U.S. comes from China, many medications, pet food, food, clothes, shoes, paint and when you go to Home Depot the nails and screws are Made in China. The list is loooooong.

What I love the most is how it's ok to do business with Chinese Communists but not Cuban Communists, how it's ok to do Business with Chinese Government Thugs but not a Venezuelan Government Thug.

How many times have you been there? How many chinese people have you met? No one should be a superpower.

I really do think the US & China will end up cooperating in the long run, even if it's not to be warm & brotherly, but to be fair & tolerant and avoid something stupid like a war, which for two such huge countries could be devastating to the whole world. I don't think that would happen. For all the governments' stupidities (US and China's) I think no one really wants war, even the Big Guys.

Even IF China is to become a Superpower, they are decades away. At least 40 years in my calculations.

Just because they have a lot of people, that doens't make them a Superpower. Technically Russia, France and Japan still are more powerful than China. And all of them are 20 years behind the US.

I make a distinction between Chinese people and the Communist Government ruling China. People are not evil, never can be. They are great people, who have been denied freedom by the Communist regime. We can never forget that China is the seat of one of the oldest civilisations of the world. It's just that they are having some bad luck to bear with a government which is literally a butcher. Remember Tinanmen when thousands of students rose to oppose this regime and they were crushed under tanks? They are fearful to raise their voice, they fear for their lives. Someday when China is really free, you will note that they are no different than any of us. The Bamboo Curtain will fall down ........ someday. China will be free.

But please don't call the nation an evil one. Make a distinction between the people and the government........ at least in case of China.

China is en route to being a superpower, but I think they will be more like the Soviet Union was and less like America, due to the higher numbers of very poor people in China and serious infrastructure problems.

Wow, according to world surveys, almost all developing countries think of China as their friend. According to another survey conducted, almost everyone thinks of the USA as the hypocritial threat. How many wars have China started in the last 70 years and how many has the USA started? Answer: China, basically none though it participated in a few to keep itself in a decent position, US: Iraq, Afghanistan, Gulf war, Balkan war, Vietnam war, Korean war... with all it's nuclear power testing and population growth, it is but there are factors hindering them to do so for instance their culture and the different calamities they encounter in these past days and years
