Do you agree that life is like playing a board of chess. Every move that you make will effect your future?

in life you need to select the right move in order to success once you make the wrong move they will be no second chance. You need to plan and predict every next move that you and your opponent take.We need to have a solid understanding of the situation and find ways to solve it. We need to think of other possibilities. How life imitates chess making the right first moves until the end is crucial factor to win
Additional Details
even a pawn can kill a King or Queen when you make the wrong move and end the game, it shows that how small mistake can lead to disaster

Absolutely.
Every turn we make in life leads to a different path.
So we have to weigh every decision and strategize to manouvre our life to the direction we want.

Profound, huh? I'm getting intelligent....hehe...!

I agree. Every move can affect in MANY ways.

The littlest things matter. We shouldn't think about life too much, let it flow as we go.

I dont think we should plan anything in our life.

Yes, for those who understand clearly how the game played.
for those who never play or suck at it,
might not agree of your statement.

In live, we need backup, like family to protect us when we're in trouble,
and will sacrifice at any cost to make sure we pass through (in chess, queen is the major contributer)

Then we need to have good plan in life,
though there will be ups and down,
obstacle and mistakes in between,
our goal is to be in the greatest peak of our life (in chess, is a winning checkmate).

Sometimes we have to retreat and evaluate our plan in life whether is it worth to sacrifice
or shall we choose another path. (in play, we always move our sets backwards few times)

However, doesn't mean that if you are a good chess player means that you good in life as well.
We can see the chessboard,
our opponent move and the sets,
but life is more complicated because we can't see what lies ahead.

What we can do, is just to play as good as we can and hope for the best.

You remind me of a friend.... He had all the answers of financial success. He knew everything about the stock market, which options to purchase and what will be the next Microsoft.

The only problem with him was... He didn't have a pot to piss in.

No. I believe in destiny. Well sure, all moves/decisions we make have a way of determining what our future would be. But as one earlier answerer said, there could be 2nd. 3rd, actually infinite chances. Things change in the flick of a finger, as seasons come and go. You made one wrong move, it can lead to a temporary setback, but you can make a U-turn, rectify what's been wrong, change what would have been inevitable. But again, in the final analysis, it is still the mighty Being that controls everything. We can work our asses off, we cry our hearts out asking for something to happen, something not to happen, but our fate is sealed, according to His will. I much prefer to believe it that way - painful memories become more bearable with the thought that I could not have changed it, it was meant to happen, it is written in the story of my life which has been planned long before I was even born.

Yes I belive that. Every movement we make will affect our future. Every steps we take is a risk. Everything we do is a possibility. And as my friend said, see and do things with your heart and instinct but not your eyes.

Do I agree that life is like a game of chess?? I dont agree with that nor do i believ in that kind of thinking. i believe in a world where people shouldnt have to bath in the salty waters of our past mistakes. i believe in telling people how you feel about them even if it will inevitably lead to your head on a pike. I believe in running miles to the love of your life only to find them in bed not with another person but with a rusty chainsaw performing surgery on a spider. BIRTHDAY CELIBRATIONS, BATHING SUITS!!!
I believe in not voting on election day but still complaining about the performance of the elected official, i believe in washing down a cannibal meal with vegan tears before brushing your teeth with a hammer dipped in corn syrup. I believe we should find Coral from "the real world back to new york" drag her by the hair into a dark alley shove her into a trashcan marinate her in cat fur, and bite her feet until she turns into a plastic whale!!!!!!

i don't know how to play chess.
but yes, i agree every move we make now, determines our future..
however yuan yuan has a point there..destiny does play a BIG part in our life too...
for some people, chances do come twice,thrice..or maybe more.but not for some others..

whatever the obstacles or rejected chances, when you are meant to have something or be someone..you will be.

It's my experience that we sometimes DO get 2nd and 3rd Chances...sometimes even more...

It depends...what you're describing may be the best way for some people, but for the others...

No- I think life is more like a jig-saw puzzle. You need to find the right pieces to put at the right places to be successful in solving the puzzle. Likewise, if you do not have the correct information and contacts and arrange your life around them, you won't be successful.
