From a very young age.. of five or something, I had always admired China. They dress fantastic and make some of the best vases and ornaments, in the world. I have always been fascinated by that country and I would love to go, one day. Most of our things, come from China. I also love green tea, lol. :-)
I also love the US. I have many friends, from there. My grandad and grandma, have been there and have told me.. how polite, the people were.
With the war.. going on, I'd pick China. I'm just sick of the war. I wish we could all just get on. It is sad. |

China already is and has been a super power for many decades,,,,the bulk of American debts are owed to China, that is an economical fact,,If china wished to call in it`s debts the USA would be broke and in the stone age over night,,that is a fact of life,,,
China has had the largest standing army in the world since the 1950s,worlds largest airforce and worlds largest population,, |

I like both too.
I love China for it's history, culture, art, way of thinking.... And (I know some people weren't agree) it's ability to stand tough on certain issues. I actually really respect that.
I like the US too. I went there last year and meet so many lovely people! My fav city is Washington DC. I guess the city gave me somewhat a similar feeling i get when I go to Beijing. That unique feeling of solid "power" and "authority". Amazing...
I would live in China and work there.Every thing's so convenient and the whole focus on health and well-being is really nice. For example, I like seeing people doing Taichi in the parks after supper.... or neon lights shining streets below.
But then again, I would also like to work in USA. |

Question is meaningless. Do you like oranges or bananas best? Well, I like both and sometimes I feel like one and sometimes the other. |

Are you serious? China is going to be the most powerful country in the world for the 21st Century! Why do you think so many people are trying to learn Chinese [Mandarin]? |

I like both - equally. And I dislike similar things about both.
They're wonderful places to visit and in general, the average American or Chinese is a fine, kind, and generous person.
But both suffer from misrule and lack of good governance in the conduct of their officials. Likewise, both waste vast sums on "defense" when they could spend that money developing their countries and providing a better future for their respective peoples.
Sadly, both have a similar issue now that they didn't have before the creation of "Homeland Security" in the U.S. - internal security organizations that are grown our of hand. |

China is already a superpower, thats why they are able to raise the amount they spend on military every year for the last 10 years. |

china may may some internal problems but they dont go out and terrorise other countries like the usa. the usa likes to abuse the power for their benefit. usa should be stripped off from having the veto power. |

China will be the next superpower and it's inevitable. Go ask the politicians or professors/teachers in the US about China becoming the World's next Superpower and I can assure you most will say China will supass the US within 20 years. China has been the most powerful nation for thousands of year, but was replace by the British. Then, Britain was replace by the US. My point is, the US is not going to be the superpower forever. US, itself has a lot of problems as well, not just China. |

I prefer China, I love Chinese culture and traditions. There are many places to visit. China has a long history and is one of the great civilizations, together with India, Greece and Iraq.
The US is a nice country but I'm not interested in it, even though I have many american friends. |

Environmentally USA=low pressure education system/decent pay for skilled workers and less polluted.
Politically/Economically China= A country that has an economy with a yearly 13% growth rate that I can invest in through the stock market, a government that has promised not to start pointless wars, cunning leaders that artificially made life in the first world heaven by devalueing their currency, low cost of living, does almost all the world's manufacturing cheaply, and strongly anti-USA.
I believe China has the potential of surpassing the USA. All superpowers would eventually fall apart. The USA is already prepared to self destruct. It is the most in debt country in the world, and yet it continues to idle by consuming half the world's resources. |

do you mean as a place to live...?
or politically?
There are a few places I'd be willing to live in China, but very few.
On the other hand, there are many places in the USA that I'd be willing to live.
Politically speaking however, I'd not want to live under China's political system, but despite the odd errant president that gets elected from time to time, I'd be OK living under American democracy in general. |

China, as we have lots of Chinese friends in Borneo . When we visit , they make us so welcome, & are so friendly. OK they may have problems , but dont we all. They are a great race & we visit them in Sarawak as often as we can. Last year we went twice. |

I like both countries.
China is, and will remain, a superpower.
US is, and will remain, a superpower.
Both countries need each other. Let the both be friends, not enemies. |

Depending on what you mean by superpower.
I like both China and USA. The general people, but not both governments.
Statistics have to be interpreted correctly.
Scooby Doo, for a guy who was poor and earns $10 every month. I can increase his salary 20% every month 10 times in a row. If a guy is earning $10,000 per month. I may not want to increase his salary. For its size and population, China started from a very low base.
The Happy Murcia, Yes. China has the largest Army and populations. But it is quite useless in today's technology driven warfare. United States is till the world strongest in military power.
Another piece of statistics to share. United states total military expenditure is nearly 50% of the world's total. ie. the sum of expenditure of all the other countries, including China.
