Not offense exactly, but disappointed or hurt, because I don't think that the lack was meant to be a personal slight. I assume that the person probably tended to focus more on the gift and missed the significance of having been given a gift, or the person just wasn't properly taught to acknowledge a gift. I've decided a long time ago to give just for the sake of giving, and not for thanks. |

depends on the situation, if I gave someone a scolding I wouldn't expect them to thank me ...lol... |

Yes-they are not respectful. They do not want to show or make you feel good by showing that they appreciate the gift. It is like they do not care. |

Hello Rafaz :)
Depending on the situation & person, and also my mood ~ I might just stay happy & cheerful and not be affected, or I might end up cursing the person beneath my lips... heheheheee~!!

Yep. That is really rude. It seems to happen a lot unfortunately though. I would suggest not to give something to that person again if they don't even say thank you. :) |

I don't worry so much about a 'thank you'; there are plenty of cultures here where people accept 'gifts' as something that they have merited. In return, they also give you something, but it might be at some times much later. It is their way of saying thank you. I hope though that my gifts are appreciated. So I choose carefully, and then give for the sake of giving and from my heart. And I give to those who merited my attention and respect for some reason or other. No thanks required - a gift is sometimes my way of saying thanks in the first place! |

If you gave something to someone no matter who it maybe. Just be happy, because you wanted too not because you have too. |
