I like durians but find them too heaty.
Now I am smart :~) after eating durians, I drink a glass of organic green tea........no sore throat anymore.

TIPS~~~
You can try drinking tap water, with a little salt added, from a durian shell. It is said to prevent heatiness.
I still prefer my green tea.

To get rid of the smell from your hands, take a durian shell (is it shell or skin) and run tap water from the top part. Place your hand below the shell where water flows down.

I simply loves it very much! You can make so many kind of dishes out of durian..for example:

-Sambal Tempoyak ( Fermented durian with Cili Padi)
-Ikan Patin with Tempoyak Durian
-Durian Cheese Cake!!
-Durian Mousse Cheese cake

and many more...! argh..you make me drooling over here!

when i was pregnant, i must have durian everyday and i can finished 2 trays at one sitting. i love the white bitterish sweet durians instead of the yellow sweet ones.

now, i only love durian ice cream. (the cheap local ice cream potong)

I love durians... but I hate it when someone farts or burps after consuming durians... heh heh heh Just like Myra, I like my durians cooked/prepared that way too... fermented durians are really delicious!

OH... and how can I forget... DURIAN DODOLS... I can still remember how my family would make them back at kampung. I'd be eating the half-cooked dodols while my elder aunt is stirring it in the big wok.

When i just came to Asia,i couldn't stand even smell of this fruit when i walk by market,i even covered my nose.My husband insist,and i finally tried it.Slowly,i became durian addict.I can't resist durian any more.Now i really understand why people here call it "king of fruits".It really is!

i love durian (acutally my father too) and i don't know how to tell you how much i love it and how much i would want some of it now. The best will be durian kampung - the bitter kind. I also like the durian cake but no way I will eat it with rice

oohhhhh!! I love durian! sweet taste and the smell is not bad..once you open the fruit, the smell is not that strong anymore. i love it!

yes yes i love durian .. i can eat it non stop....when my mom was pregnant with me ... she demanded my dad for durian so he happily climb a tree and fall down from there.. isk iskk.. see my dad is willing to do anything for me .. heheh
