It's funny that you should mention this. I have done some follow up on questions that I took the time to answer and I was offended by some of the answers that received best answer rating. I wonder why I bother.

I try not to unless it's a really funny answer and I don't really like the other answers (which pretty much never happens).

as i've said in a previous answer, voting is a time-consuming activity so i only vote for questions that interest me and mostly these are questions i have answered. and yes, i do vote for myself and i know for a fact that my answers are not wrong. so the answer to your question is NO, i don't.

No, why should I. Unfortunately some people here do vote for the wrong answer and give the correct answer a thumbs down. I have experienced that several times. It seems some people here have groups of friends to vote for them and become the best answer. That is why the best answers could not be the best after all.
