Loads to do. 14 days, OK I'll give you a list of 14 things to do:-
1) Grand Palace
2) Vimanmek Mansion
3) Thai Massage (nuat thai - the real type, not the naughty one)
4) Safari World - safari park
5) Dreamworld - amusement park (inc. snow dome & grown-ups size go-kart track)
6) Go to a Floating Market
7) Go to Ayutthaya - old capital of Thailand - 50 miles north of Ayutthaya
8) Go Kanchanaburi - west of Bangkok - bridge over the river kwai/tiger sanctuary
9) Weekend Market
10) Suan Lum Night Market (also has a big wheel)
11) National Museum
12) Shopping - MBK, Siam Paragon, Central World Plaza (they all have movie theaters too.
13) Go to Khao Yai National Park - east of Bangkok
14) River Cruise on the Chao Phraya River
And have I haven't really got started yet, but I promised 14 so I'll limit it to 14.
Boredom won't be a problem. Finding time to sleep might be. |

European living in Bangkok

I have lived in bangkok for more than 10 years and I still like it....but I am working too. Some people are bored of Bangkok within a few days, others can stay for a long holiday. I have no clue what kind of person you are? Do you like shopping malls, markets? Do you like temples, museums, girls? If you would write more about your plans, I could better answer if you would like to stay here for two weeks. |

absolutely! there is a lot to do in the city plus there are great things to do about an hours cab drive outside the city. i recommend the tiger zoo. |

What precisely would make you bored? I have spent months on this tiny farm in the middle of nowhere, and I'm not bored, so I reckon Bangkok would be a doddle... |

I agree with all of Nancy's 14 suggestions (having done them all), and would add a trip to BKK's tallest building the Bayoke Tower with it's fantastic views accross the whole of the city, or perhaps a trip to the zoo. I also just enjoy walking around the city for hours at a time, watching a different world go by. I do have the advantage of having a g/f (Thai) who lives there, but I can always find plenty to do on my own if she's busy. Finally, my favourite place to go in the evenings is the Hard Rock Cafe at Siam Square as they have some great bands and the atmosphere is really good.
Whatever you do, just enjoy your stay in the Land of Smiles.

i doubt you will get bored in bangkok - there's just so many things to do. first some popular tourists places like floating market, royal palace, temples and etc are quite a distance from the city so a visit to 1 or 2 places might take up whole day. and i'm sure you will want to revisit jatujak market a few more times for shopping |

There is no way in hell you would ever get bored in Bangkok! Just be care full though...you may get the 'Bangkok Bug', the symptoms are: You have a overwhelming urge to go back there every year. |

Bangkok can be covered in 2-3days even if you are going to travel to all popular areas. Unless you are a shopping fanatic; even then 4days in surely enough.
Must see places in Bangkok include Chinatown, Temples, MBK [Ma Boon Khrong], WTC, Patpong, Suan Lum night market ETC.
and most definitely, Chatuchak weekend market!
Do travel out to nearby areas such as Ayuttaya [ancient capital of Thailand] & Hua Hin [beautiful beach area with horses by the beach]. I find it more interesting to travel to such places then stay in Bangkok City for 2 weeks. |

No, 2 weeks would be too much - make the most of your trip to Thailand and see more of the country - like the islands or the hill tribes in the north - it's very easy tro travel around - don't be scared to explore! |

I have been to Thailand half a dozen times and I was never bored,
I cant say much about Bangkok though, I never spend more than a night each way there.
If your bored in Bangkok, just take a bus, Train from Hua Lam Pong or a flight to some other province, there is no dearth of places to go to and things you could do.
Go there for Songkran or Thai New Year around the 13th of April, its the wildest fun time you would ever have.
You may eventually find that 2 weeks is miserably short.
Have a good stay in Banggkok.
Stay away from the ladies, they are really pretty and smile a lot, but are internally full of pain owing to poverty, ailing parents, being single parents themselves, or having to support HIV+ husbands or other relatives. |

Not if dping lots of trips to places like the Rose Gardens or the tiger temple
www.tigertemple.co.uk
or look up temple of the tigers
What will happen is are you do the tourist stuff you explore and see a bit of thai life and stuff like that.
Go around April 13s and its a city wide water fight on their new year. |

Depends what you like, if its markets, shopping, temples and bars then you will be fine.
We spent 3 days in BKK and it was crowded and polluted and traffic chaos, so I do not plan to go there soon. If you like travel then go on an overnight train or spend some days by the beautiful beaches and resorts. Just look on the tourist websites |

I'm from Chicago and I went to BKK last year, I was bored after my second day. I prefer heading up north to the small towns where there are little to no tourists. Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai are great!
Have fun!
I wil;l be heading back this year |
