No, in my opinion, only an immature person or someone with some sort of issue would do that.

I normally do not report violations, but if I do it would be one or all of the following reasons, use of racist, discriminatory & vulgar language, spam & other related violations.

In my long stay with YAP I have understood that certain people do not award me with a BA, some do so once in a while, & a few have done so once. That's just how it is.

I answer not expecting 10 pionts. If anyone or a group avoid awarding me best answer,it will not hurt me or make me upset. I am so much aware of the games of retaliation and Isolation done here in YAP.
I have given best answers to some of the most unworthy characters.
I don't let these people get to me. This is comedy.

That would lead to a no win situation. One would have to spend too much time retaliating and wouldn't have enough time to answer or ask. Take my answers for instance I have 14% BA (I think) so if I was to waste time reporting the other 86% I wouldn't have the time to answer this question. I feel that most people here are mature enough not to do such things (I hope).
I still can't get over the ones that will go back many many months to report a question/answer. I have often pondered over what satisfaction they can possibly get.
BTW I agree with Japs on the violations.

Nope. If I did that, I would be reporting people all of the time. (The other brides in the wedding section really hate me!) In fact, they are constantly reporting me for no reason. Very immature, I think.

I wouldn't mind. It is the contributors prerogative to choose the BA.
If the answerer have an issue. The contributor should ask a question so that he/she will know how difficult it is to choose the good answer answer among the list of best answers.

Why should I? It's the Asker's right to choose whose the Best answerer for her/him. I came into Y!A not for the big 10 but for enjoyment. I enjoy answering Q's here even if sometimes my A's are irrelevant or nonesense.

I myself was placed in a situation when a particular Q of mine has gathered several excellent As, wherein I feel so frustrated in being able to give just one BA. Answerers should be matured enough to be able to understand that simply everyone couldnt have a BA.

Unless otherwise, the answerer is an adult, with an emotional stability of a three-year old child, the irrationality of a very jealous patner, the insecurity of hitler (he had to kill 'everyone else' :p ) -- and who happens to own a PC.

edit: See that ... I gave an honest simple answer and in just minutes I got a TD. Someone is taking it out on me and I'm not even a regular asker.

I have limited myself to answering questions from askers whom I know pick their own BAs. I can't say I trust questions going to voting anymore. It's not the points. It's the principle of the thing.
