Most do not want to work in a bar, but because they are uneducated, and have no real future gaining employment they are forced by circumstances to work in th bar. In the Philippines most good jobs go to those who have a bachelors degree or higher. Thats a fact! |

I would guess there are at least two groups. Those who do it to survive (no enjoyment) and those who do it to live a certain lifestyle - shopping at malls, having money to spend on self- (many of which do enjoy what it brings them). The second group is making a willing tradeoff.
Prostitutes overall are lazy. They want fast money and not to have to work hard. There are other jobs for most if they want them.
But then there are those forced into it. They must suffer tremendously. |

economic reasons ( need to earn a living for themselves
and their loved ones ).

I think a very very few actually enjoy it.
Now, for the freat majority of bar girls. I have been to quite a lot, and almost all of the time, you feel that these girls are only there for the money. It is not like they work in bars becaiuse they enjoy the smokey and loud atmosphere. That they enjoy being caressed and petted by the customers ( and some other things when the customers are rude, drunk, and wild).
No self-respecting woman would want that. As a demonstration, it is highly unthinkable that these ladies would want their daughters to do the same work. Going by this, you can conclude they are not enjoying the work per se. They are most probably just enjoying the money they earn. |

.....some of them doesn't have a choice esp. the ones that were abducted by family members and friends......some doesn't even finished high school to have a good job to provide food for her siblings and parents......some prefer this job because they like it........some were just forced because of poverty......etc and etc.........there are so many reasons.......
.....they have to show the customers they are enjoying it otherwise if not, they will not be taken by the customers to table. Bar girls make money for the ladies drinks that were consumed offered to them by the customers. But its a percentage basis, its like 50% goes to the ladies and 50% goes to the bar. But not always, most of the time, 30% to the ladies and 70% to the bar......it means what the bar girls take depends on the ladies drink they have and depends on the tip of the customer........ |

Few do and almost all hate working there. But bottom line all the girls who work there do it for money to live,support their families and other ventures like study and the like. I know many girls who work in bars and clubs and I haven't met any that enjoy it. They are forced to work there because they have better chance of earning more money than they would working at McDonalds or a department store. It's quiet Ironic because they can only do it for so long and get replaced by younger ones,the whole time they are most likely providing for family and can't spend the money to better themselves and get out of the scene and they can't exactly put GRO on their resume when applying for a real and not to mention lowew paying job. So they are really sacrficing their own future with little hope of making something out of themselves. Don't get me wrong some do get found and become highly paid models and some even celebrities.
Imagine working in a place where the clients are only interesting in you for one thing and you have to act a certain way to keep the money coming in while knowing that your just digging yourself deeper into a situation your firmly stuck in. I'm sure you can understand abit more now. I actually admire them to a degree if you get past the bad image they have. To put up with the crap they get and do it night after night with a bleak outlook at the end. They get my applause. |

Next time you are in the Philippines unless you are there already, why not take a tour of all bars around the city and ask the girls this question. You will get straight answer from the mouth of the horse. I am sure each one will have a story to tell... |

probably, girl bartenders usually get hit on a lot but they do get tipped a ridicules amount of money. so i guess it pays off. so if you like attention, then they would enjoy it |

Yes, I think some of them love it. Especially if they make easy fast money. Some men will fall in love or lust with these pretty bar girls.
The night life is exciting and stimulating. The attention the bar girls get is intoxicating. When men get drunk, the young bar girls look stunning and irresistable.
My uncle used to own a popular bar in Olongapo city during the late 1980's. I've heard most of his stories.
The Bar girls had a U.S. Navy or Marine from every visiting ship loving and supporting them.
Some girls will send 4 letters out to different sailors on each ship. Very good source for income. The most sexy and pretty faced filipina's had several men infatuated or in love with them.

I'm am really confused if they do or not. I have befriended someone who turned out to be a GRO. She's very intellectual, graduated salutatorian in high school, good singing voice,tall and nice butt, i don't know what's the real reason why she took the "bar" life. Said she was rape by an uncle but no relatives believed her.
I have not made out with her yet,knowing her for 4 years, i;m scared, i know how many times she;d contracted STI and had several abortions.I don't trust condoms to avoid diseases like hepatitis, crabs, herpes,etc.
She doesn't want me to let her relatives know what her real job here in manila. Do they enjoy their life,?maybe sometimes, but the male workers in the club say all this women are golddiggers. And this friend of mine has sucked the money out of her customer-bf's who got crazy over her and then left the guys after they can no longer sustain her. They enjoy the life as long as they are the stars or in the limelight in their area, but with the threat of other GRO younger and prettier than them, they fight viciously among themselves, even when they were once close as blood relatives.
If I drink alcohol or frequent the bars, I could have known more of their characters.No, I avoid getting hooked with them, hard to control, even when the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. I |
