I think it works with a submissive or dominant, as long as both are willing to compromise.

I think since women didn't work as much, they were more compelled to stick it out. Being married for say 8 years, three kids and no job, well what do you do? Day care wasn't as available, welfare, shelters, nor was divorce as acceptable. as it is and so many other things.

good relationships is comprised of two people complementing each other... if one is dominant, the other must not be... i would not agree with the term weak, i would say "gentle"...

Being married to dominant women is all about tolerance. Avoid marrying them means u are lack of that value. Men without tolerance are worthless.

Women old days are less smart, not less dominant/demanding.

And only brave, secure, smart, gentlemen and macho man will dare to be a dominant woman's partner.

Is it necessarily bad that women are considered less submissive? If I'm half of the marriage, I should get half of the say in what goes on within it. Why would you want to be in a marriage with someone you treat like a child?

I disagree with your "if the man is dominant married to a dominant woman, the marriage usually doesn't last" statement. Do you have any sources or statistics to back it up? I just don't think it's a valid claim.

It is not a question of who is the dominant one, or who is the submissive one.
Nowadays, everything revolve around the big dollar sign. Who ever has more money has more independence and power, women nowadays wants more than the ones before.
Some are willing to work for it but some are using themselves as an easy way to get it.
Sad.

Yes so much has changed. now a days it takes 2 to be working to make ends meet. nothing like back when i was growing up..marriages did work back then.
