of course, because if you stack your dirty dishes on the way to the sink, the bottom sits on the dirty tops, and gets dirty, then, if you put the dirty bottoms on top of the clean tops in the cupboard, you get everything all dirty again...DUH!!!

(My sister and I had this discussion years ago...apparently, her husband believes it isn't necessary, so she just goes back and rewashes everything. Sort of defeats the purpose of having him help out...again...DUH!!!)

Only when enough dirt has accumulated, otherwise I try to save water.

Yes because most times it will be stacked on top of another plate in the cabinet.

yes, of course. cleaning is not just on one side but both sides of the plate.

if you're cleaning something, clean them all over.
