I find it not so much funny as annoying.

I have seen. what I perceive to be good relevant answers being given a massive thumbs down (WELL's answers included). Well is trying to make out he is a martyr but the same people that he is accusing also get a lot of TD's .

I think that TD's is useful but it needs a slight modification to it. Yahoo needs to make this feature the same as the star feature in that you can see who has awarded it.

It's amusing dahling. Those are just people who find nothing better to do dahling. It's best that you ignore those thumbs down they give you. It doesn't mean your answer is bad dahling. No one's answers are actually, Well except for some really dumb answers ^_^. I only put the thumbs down when the answers really suck, are off-base or are downright profane dahling.

Sometimes for others it meant that you beat them to the punch or your answer was more intellectually challenging than theirs dahling. Think nothing of it.

i don't know if i would call it funny, but if your found yourself laughing and got amusement then that is good. Why the heck would someone go thru your answers and give thumbs down? Man, that person needs to get a life...... hopefully you actually know this person and they are playing a joke on ya cuz if its just some random person that's really stupid of them.

I've noticed, and I haven't looked at your profile, so I'm only speaking about me, that people thumbs down my answer when I've hit the button!! Someone asked "What do I do about this horrible relationship" and I told her.."You leave it. If it's so bad and you're unhappy, you leave". That's just to sum it up for you, you can go into my profile and read what actually was said, it's just too long to type again..ANYWAYS...I got a couple thumbs down and then the next day, she chose me as Best Answer. WHY? Cuz I knew what I was talking about and others were giving her mean, sarcastic answers telling her to get a life or what not!! They were just floored that someone would take the time to give a decent, honest answer out of sheer concern for someone else. Their problem, not ours. If you're getting thumbed down, move on. It's only one person's opionion and it shouldn't matter to you. Lots of lamo's on here!!

It happened to me also, I got 12 violation in a 24 hour period and my last account was suspended.
Then i opened this one, and about a month ago, it happened again, but i made my answers private and it stopped.
Some people seem to think it is their way or no way at all.
YA is just a game, and i dont understand why some people take it so seriously.
The worst are the ones who say or do something from behind a computer that they would not have the nerve to do when you are face to face.
These arm chair warriors get all the courage in the world when they know that you cant just reach out and smack them.
As for WELL:
you are the victim of a troll with multiple accounts.
No matter how pompus I find you, you are still entitled to an opinion in any public forum.
You know who the trolls are and they have blind voting accounts available where they use them to harass others.
Accounts that they dont show here for answers, just for trolling. (people who mark their answers also use these accounts to vote for themselves, so we know who you are)
You have every right to be the arrogant dufus that you are.
However, you have to live with the concequence associated with your actions, which seems to be a high number of TD's

Yes it is funny, sad, but funny.

Check out the TD's on my answers--I get 10-27 TD's per answer. I find this peculiar and there are two common scenarios:

#1. Typically all the other answers around mine don't get more than 1 or 2 total ratings each.

#2. You will also notice a 2nd pattern of rating distributions, where the consistency of the TD counts are compared with the rating counts of the other answerers around you. I would get 5 TU's and 10 TD's. Oddly enough a short list of answerers will then get EXACTLY 10 TU's and 5 TD's. The rest of the answerers will get the standard one or two ratings for their answers.

What does this mean? It could mean anything but I've noticed this very predictable pattern occur too often to make some conclusions.

I and a handful of others always get the TD's along with a few hapless occassional answerers (like you) whose answers for the day do not seem to sit well with the "answer mafia" who bombard it with TD's.

Conversely, there is a short list of regulars who, suspiciously enough are ALWAYS immune to this barrage of TD's. I don't need to name names because all one needs to do is look over the answers in this category to easily determine those with the TD "immunity".

Further, you will notice that these TD-immune answerers are also the same ones whose previous Yahoo accounts have been suspended by Yahoo before for gross violations.
