I love Hong Kong. Been twice. Love the hustle and bustle, the people, the smells.
Taking a trip to Kowloon on the Star ferry.
Visiting the night markets in Kowloon for cheap fakes and being too scared to try any of the unusual street food like deep fried chicken legs and some kind of gruel being stirred in large pots.
The view back across Victoria Harbour to Hong Kong Island by day and at night.
The junk boats against the background of skyscrapers.
The almost vertical train up to Victoria Peak (not always foggy).
The largest escalator in the world that goes downhill to take people to work in the morning and then switches uphill in the afternoon to take them home at night.
The children wanting to play with my 13 month old daughter all cuddling her and giggling with her in the park and then screaming and running away as soon as I got my camera out.
The very rough boat trip to Macao
I love it all |

I worked in HK pre-1997 and loved it - for the most part I found the people good-natured and hard-working. Ive been back post-handover and havent noticed any particular change. If I had any criticism at all, then I would say there tended to be a certain bias against 'Westerns' (their terms not mine) which could border on racism. And I had a few friends who encountered problems.
But for my part I love the city, I think its a vibrant mix of new and old, the island has a real mix from downtown HK to places like Stanley and The Peak itself.
Personally, I love it and for all its faults (it has a few) it's one of my favourite cities in the world. |

Hong Kong is my favourite place in the world. I have family there, so I visit fairly often. There is so much to see and do, whether in the more rural New Territories in the north to frenetic Kowloon and the Island... it is really a place that never sleeps. |

I'd love to go. I read a book called The Years of the Hungry Tiger by John Gordon Davis - one of my favourite books of all time - and I think it sounds fabulous. |

I was there a few months ago for a trip. I found it fascinating. Maybe it's because I watched a lot of TVB/HK tv series, so many places look familiar for me. It was a totally different experience. The people there weren't bad except a few odds. Too bad my time there was way too short. I feel like going there again because I know I haven't seen enough of it as the city has so much to be seen! |

As you know Hong Kong is south part of China so the weather is little hot and quite humid compared to mainland China even in the winter. Because a lot of high-rise buildings in the urban area and the foggy weather is often to happen.
But you can find loads of sizeable shopping centres along to MTR or KCRC route. Don't forget to tastes and enjoys different kinds of food around the world with a reasonable price.
Anyway the people are always kind and love to help. |

I've worked in HK for several years and found that the people are quite nice and fun to be with. But on the odd occassion you have to look out for the con artists. Beleive you me there are quite a few out there. the city itself is the best part. you never get tired of it. things to do and see. everyday is an adventure. |

Hong Kong is great for a few days of shopping and going on day tours then it gets up your nose because the people are miserable and un- friendly, i prefer the main land any day. |

Was there last year, actually quite disapointing, not much to do. Markets are great, so is Victoria Peak, people are friendly but why is it always so foggy!!! |
