Filipinos should be able to travel to USA on the same rules that Americans travel to PI? |
Any Filipino with a valid passport should be allowed to enter USA in the same manner as an American entering Philippines. Would anyone here support such legislation? |

Well there is a reason for The Philippines, Mexico, and India are on the "blacklist". A huge percentage of Tourist Visas never went back to their home country. Instead they show up 13 years later wanting to go back home for an emergency.
I would support the legislation with some restrictions still in place such as the criminal background and health checks. Other then that, if the person has a sponser here in the states that can be a good leg to stand on to get started more power to them.
We have enough room here in the states to build on, we can't be that selfish with the USA. The Philippines was right there with us in the beginning of the Iraq war, hell, cut some slack to the Philippines. (No I didn't support the war, just giving credit where credit is due) |

NO, each country has a right to protect its borders as it sees fit.
What about allowing foreigners to own property in the Phils? I know that a foreigner can own property in Australia and I suppose the same applies in the U.S. |

No, I wouldn't support that legislation but I would support making it easier to receive a tourist visa. I know people that have been denied for a tourist visa even after showing travel to other places, money in the bank, job, kids her, etc and they are still denied. It is a little too hard and the formula for who is granted a visa and who is denied is too difficult to predict and still somewhat random. |

if filipinos are allowed to come to the us of a without any question ask then the philippines will be neaerly as empty.who would like to live in the poverty stricken place. |

I don't think that will ever happen, especially with this war going on against Iraq. Our President is very strict against that, the laws in U.S. have become extremely strict & will become even more strict over time. Absolutely NO ENTRY if you are not a legal citizen, Permanent Resident or have a valid Visa. |

yes, sir, please make it possible! i would like to immigrate to the beautiful USA where people are tall and blond and blue-eyed. and there are ronald mcdonalds in every street corner, also pizza hut, whole foods, trader joes, cheesecake factory, chilis, and everything good and yummy to the tummy! if i'm allowed though, i won't have any money for airfare; but i can come with you as luggage! i can fit in a balikbayan box with no problem, sir, as you see i'm very small and skinny for my age (because of years of starvation and tapeworm infestation, sir). in fact, my younger sister would be able to go with me too since the two of us can easily fit in the box with no problem. but please make sure to poke holes on the box so that we would be able to breathe alright. and don't worry about food during the trip, sir, i will bring puto and kutsinta as our baon. when are we leaving, sir? i'm so excited!!! maraming salamat po, sir! |

Americans should be allowed to own land in the Philippines just like the Philippine people can in the U.S.A.
Americans living in the Philippines should be able to avail themselves to free medical care in the Philippines just like the Philippine people living in the U.S.A. can if they cannot afford medical care.
The children of Americans living in the Philippines should be able to have free education just like the children of the Philippine parents living in the U.S.A.
Americans over 65 living in the Philippines should be able to collect a pension from the Philippine Government just like Philippine Citizens living in the U.S.A. can collect SSI.
Americans living in the Philippines should be able to own business' in the Philippines just like the people from the Philippines can own business' in the U.S.A.
The U.S.A. does not require a Philippine Citizen with a Visa that chooses to retire in the U.S.A. to post a $20,000 to $50,000 bond in order to retire in the U.S.A. so maybe the Philippines should stop requiring it of Americans that have a Visa and want to retire in the Philippines.
If the Philippines provided job opportunities for its citizens so they did not have to try and escape their homeland in order to make a living perhaps the U.S.A. would be more loose with issuing Visa's. Few Americans are coming to the Philippines looking for work.
If corruption wasn't so rampant in the Philippines making Passports and other legal documents in the Philippines easily obtained for the right price maybe the restrictions on U.S.A. Visa's for the people of the Philippines would be easier to obtain.
I have no objection to the Government of the Philippines making it more difficult for Americans to come to the Philippines. That is a decision for the people of the Philippines to make. If you think it would be benificial for the people of the Philippines to do so then you should start lobbying your House of Representative and Senate members. If Americans cannot meet the restrictions then they would be forced to spend their money at home or some place else where they were welcomed. |

If given an opportunity, then there would be more Filipinos than Mexicans over there in the USA. Most of those given the opportunity stay there as illegal aliens. I think it is better that they remain strict with their rules. |

Well, if u wanna see unproffesional or peopel with bad intention in the US, sure.
By the way, if u wanna see muslim southern-filipino terrorists invading the US...same rulesshould be appiled.
And it is very unfair for the people who came to the US praying hard and/or paid(fake) a lot for a visa. So, unfair. |
