Finance vs Architecture, which one u prefer? Why?

okay... let's see...
architecture, strictly speaking is a rather closed profession. with a degree in architecture, or the likes your future will be in the field, although there are different sort of things you can do. landscaping, designs, building/construction etc, you get the drift. and if you decided to stay back in australia, it still is currently a skill on demand (but with careful with the subcategories). finance on the other hand leads you to a greater opportunity in the business area, banking, superannuation, financial services etc. with luck, you can even end up as a finance personnel in a totally unrelated business. no offence, but it's "only" semi-professional. if getting a PR in australia is within your contemplation, forget about finance. you hit one in every five persons on the street with a stone.

architecture is a five year degree (and each year double the tuition fees of finance), a rather packed course but you will find it best if you get a related job part time, because practical experience is very important for you securing a good job afterwards. finance is a relatively easier course - as they say, honeymoon baby.

i would say go for architecture only if your interest isnt a three minute thing, because you will have to stick to it forever. and here's a little suggestion, if you want to do finance, couple it with another degree. two combined commerce degrees is only a year extra.

i'm a huge architecture geek
the style i adore the most is deconstructivism
the architects that i simply love and adore very much are Bernard Tschumi, Thom Mayne from Morphosis, Eric Owen Moss, Daniel Libeskind, Peter Eisenman, Rem Koolhaas, Coop Himmelblau, Frank O' Gehry, Zaha Hadid
if you look at their works, you'll know why
local architects i adore are Hijjas Kasturi (architect of the Menara Telekom-it was inspired by bamboo shoots) and not forgetting Dr. Ken Yeang (architect of Menara Mesiniaga in subang jaya and the guthrie pavilion in shah alam)

in real life of course the finance people will normally control technical people, but for me it's ok
