It would be better for me to have Butterscotch Waffles or Blueberry Waffles with Maple syrup and melted butter, rather than Chocolate waffles in the morning!!
As i used to have it when i was in the US...me and my sister will go to THOP aka The House of Pancakes..their waffles are so delicious, the place will always get jammed pack every morning!! (Just like mamak here laa..jammed pack with people who need Roti Canai fix! )
About the Apam Balik..i'm not actually a fan though but my kids are loving it!! |

i don't really have a preference of one over the other

Yo Pauler! Actually Apam Balik taste similar like waffles.
Usually the fillings are toasted peanut bits + sugar/brown sugar mixed into some kinda peanut butter sauce.(some add cream corns).
I've eaten waffles wth peanut butter spread. It's yummy!
I prefer apam balik & steamed meat buns :D
